My wife, who is picture above, and I were having a conversation the other day that continues to resonate within me. I would like to share with you today.
As we both were discussing the rapture, even though it did not happen on the date that we were expecting it to occur, she said to me:
“If we were the days of Noah, I would be getting on the ark right now.”
I would like for all of you to prayerfully ponder that statement for just a moment, for it contains an “entire sermon” of gospel teachings.
Let me see if I can even do it justice, for the teaching is so profound.
Noah spent hundreds of years calling the people to repentance. He also told them “Prophecies” regarding the flood, and the destruction that was coming.
The people of the day would see the progression of the ark in various stages, however, because it took so long, I’m certain that they saw it as something that was just a part of life, and had always been around.
Noah’s cries continued day after day, yet they were constantly ignored.
God then told Noah to board the ark. Noah shared that revelation with his “family” and they followed the instructions from God…BECAUSE OF THEIR FAITH!
After they were inside, God locked the door to the ark. The time to board had passed, and the requirement of boarding was a person’s FAITH.
Now, back to our conversation.
God has revealed the details of the Rapture Rescue through His prophets. His prophet’s inturn have taught us what is coming. Many of us have been praying that we would be ready, that our lamps would be filled in preparation of the Bridegroom’s coming to receive us. THAT LAMP OIL IS OUR FAITH!
My wife’s lamp is filled with oil, as her faith in the prophecies of the rapture is strong.
When the assumed EVIDENCE of the rapture happening on a certain date had come and gone, she still said…”I would be getting on the ark right now.” Can you see the teaching?
Regardless of the “evidence” not happening as she thought, she still has the faith to know that the rapture is going to happen. So much so, that she would board the ark right now, even though the “date had failed.”
Her spirit knows the details that it needs to know to take the action of boarding the ark. It doesn’t matter what anyone else says, she is listening to God, and He is instructing her to board the ark, to which she is placing her entire faith in.
The date came and went…But this didn’t change her faith.
She is very aware of the amount of time that I have spent studying and praying for guidance of when the rapture would happen…But even with all of that, it again did not change her faith.
She does not need a date, for her faith is in God.
She is not discouraged that her husband got it wrong, for she has faith in a greater source…God!
When the predictions of “men” were incorrect, it was of no concern, because of her faith in God who never fails her.
And now, God was telling her to Board the Ark.
She is listening and due to that faith, she has boarded the ark.
Here is something also that is remarkable to me concerning that statement.
Isn’t the purpose of the tarrying of Jesus focused upon our faith in Him?
When the date came and went, did it shake your faith? Where is your faith right now? Still recovering, or is your faith in Jesus Christ rather than a date?
I’d like for all of us to forget the calendar as it relates to the rapture. No more “high rapture watches.” Let us all acknowledge the time that we are really in regarding the rapture…”The Bridegroom Tarry.”
What is God saying to your spirit?
Boarding the ark can be seen it two very dramatic ways. Consider both of these.
First, it suggests that a person had ENOUGH OIL (faith) that they know that the rapture will occur, regardless of when it will happen.
Second, it could very well mean that a person’s faith is so tuned in that they know the time has come for the Rapture, and they are taking the necessary step in boarding the ark.
There is no right or wrong answered here, however, spending a moment thinking about this might be telling for you.
I must also share something about my wife with you. You will not meet a person who has more faith and understanding of the atonement of Jesus Christ, than she does. It extends far beyond just the forgiving of our sins with her.
She knows that Jesus Christ understands every emotion, pain, struggle, and suffering that she has experienced in her life. She has taken incredible burdens that have been given to her, through now fault of her own, and given them to a trusted Savior to bare their burdens for her. She has extended forgiveness for the unforgivable. Given Him a broken heart that came from losing a child. Endured years of brutal chronic health challenges, seeing them as being “polished” by God to become even better in His eyes. The refinement of gold, by the hand of God.
This is the person who has just boarded the ark, and is preparing to return home to be embraced by this same loving Savior, and reunited with those whom she has lost, or have gone before her.
Today’s question is how strong is our faith? Do we have enough oil as we have been instructed to have. The “Savior’s tarry” is flushing out that answer for us.
Our Father in Heaven cares deeply for those who are “in Christ,” and has provided a rescue to keep them from the disasters that are coming.
He has also prepared a glorious celebration for those who belong to Him—a Wedding Feast where we will gather with our Savior in perfect, glorified bodies. No more pain. No more sickness. No more suffering. No more sorrow. Every burden of this earthly life will be gone, and we will experience something far greater than anything this world could ever offer: to be in the presence of the Lord, and to be with Him forever.
I invite you all to “board the ark” when you are ready, but PLEASE, do it before God seals the door closed.
If you have not yet been Born Again, do it TODAY! Place all of your faith in the atonement of Jesus Christ. Salvation is completely through Him, not your church, nor even your good works or tithing paid. He did all that was necessary for us to be forgiven, now it’s up to us to accept His atonement into our own lives by having faith in what He has accomplished as being all that is necessary. We show continued faith in His atonement by repenting of our sins, and asking for His help in becoming a petter person.
