The Calendar – Another Tool of the Adversary – How this Involves the Rapture (KJV)

God has ALWAYS led me to the truth when I counted on only HIM. As I have intently studied end times prophecy, that same leadership still exists fully.

When the Feast of Trumpets came and gone, and no rapture occurred, I immediately returned to Him for additional guidance.

My belief has not changed, as I know that we are close to the rapture taking place. I KNOW this because of all of the other Prophetic Revelations that have been given to us as recorded in the bible. But I got the date wrong… How could that be?

God is never wrong, and NEVER changes His plan. So, I concluded it must have been me.

As I continued to pray to remove the feeling that I had of the approaching rapture, it simply did not go away. After two days of praying, I still felt the urgency of what was about to happen.

God did not take that feeling away, but He led me to something that I did not even consider. The deceptions that can come from a calendar.

Understanding the Different Calendars

The biblical calendar given to Israel was different from the calendar we use today. God described His appointed days by the numbered months—for example, the Feast of Trumpets was to occur on “the first day” of “the seventh month” (Leviticus 23:24 KJV). Scripture does not give that feast a September date.

The Jewish calendar developed methods for determining when those biblical months and feasts occur. Today it uses a calculated lunar-solar calendar, which allows Jewish feast dates to be determined years in advance.

The Julian calendar was a Roman civil calendar introduced before the time of Christ. Because its calculation of the solar year was slightly inaccurate, it gradually drifted from the seasons.

The Gregorian calendar, which most of the world uses today, replaced the Julian calendar in many countries beginning in 1582 and corrected much of that accumulated drift. Our dates such as September 11 or September 16 are Gregorian dates—they are not dates found in Scripture.

Therefore, when we say the Feast of Trumpets occurs on a particular September date, we are essentially translating:

God’s biblical date → Jewish calendar → our Gregorian calendar.

This matters when studying prophecy because different methods of reconstructing the biblical calendar can sometimes produce different proposed feast dates. That could make human attempts to calculate a prophetic date uncertain.

We know that satan has full intention on confusing mankind in all spiritual matters, and the calendar certainly is no different. We were even given warning about this:

Daniel 7:25 KJV, speaking of the little horn, says:

“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws…”

Seriously, don’t we all realize that we are celebrating the birth of Jesus on the wrong date? December 25^th.

As for the month and day, December 25 is a later Christian commemorative date rather than a date stated in Scripture. Some Bible students have proposed a fall birth, sometimes around September/October. None can be established conclusively from the KJV. Let’s continue…

• Seventh-day Sabbath → Saturday worship. The fourth commandment identifies “the seventh day” as the Sabbath (Exodus 20:8–11 KJV). Most all of us recognize Sunday, the First day of the week as the sabbath.

• Passover → Easter dating.
The Bible sets Passover on the 14th day of the first month (Leviticus 23:5). Over time, Christians developed a different method for determining Easter, generally connecting it with a Sunday in the spring rather than simply using the biblical date of 14 Nisan (April 1, 2026, beginning at sunset on March 31.)

• Biblical months → modern months.
God’s feast days were established according to the biblical calendar, not our January–December calendar. For example, the Feast of Trumpets is always the first day of the seventh month (Leviticus 23:24), even though it falls on different dates on our modern calendar.

• Gregorian calendar → different Easter dates.
Western Christianity eventually adopted the Gregorian calendar, while many Eastern churches continued using the older Julian calendar for church calculations. This is one reason Christians can celebrate Easter on different dates.

• Biblical feasts → Christian church calendar.
The Bible gives Israel specific appointed feasts in Leviticus 23. Christianity later developed a separate church calendar that includes Christmas, Lent, Easter, Advent, and other observances. These later observances are different from the biblical feast calendar given in Leviticus.

My point is that God’s plan does not change, but the adversary has done all that he can to make the timing of certain important events difficult to recognize, and in some cases, has changed the dates all together so that worship is not done on the specific date that God had intended.

I am not incorrect in stating that the Rapture will happen soon, there is just no correct way to tie it to a certain date due to calendar confusion.

So, let me back up regarding the Rapture. These are the truths which we can all stand behind.

1. Jesus is coming personally for those who are His.
   Paul describes it plainly:

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God… and the dead in Christ shall rise first:”
—1 Thessalonians 4:16 KJV

The great hope of the rapture isn’t primarily escaping the earth. It is being with Christ.

• Those who are “in Christ” will be gathered to Him.

“Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
—1 Thessalonians 4:17 KJV

That last phrase may be the heart of the entire doctrine: “so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

• Living believers will be changed instantaneously.

“We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye…”
—1 Corinthians 15:51–52 KJV

Whatever the mechanics of that transformation are, Paul presents it as supernatural and extraordinarily sudden.

• Our mortal bodies will become immortal.

“For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”
—1 Corinthians 15:53 KJV

The rapture is therefore connected with something even greater than relocation: resurrection and transformation.

• God wants this teaching to produce comfort—not continual fear.

This is particularly important because Paul ends the rapture passage with:

“Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
—1 Thessalonians 4:18 KJV

That’s a useful test for this writing. If studying the rapture leaves us continually frightened, exhausted, or crushed because a particular date passed, we may be emphasizing something Scripture itself does not emphasize. Paul says these words were meant to comfort believers.

• Believers are supposed to live expectantly.

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”
—Titus 2:13 KJV

Scripture encourages expectation. But expectation is different from certainty about a calendar date.

• Jesus repeatedly warns against claiming certainty about the timing.

“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”
—Matthew 25:13 KJV

And after His resurrection:

“It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.”
—Acts 1:7 KJV

There is an interesting balance here: Christ tells us to watch while simultaneously telling us that we don’t possess the timetable. Watching therefore cannot simply mean discovering the date.

• Readiness is fundamentally about belonging to Christ.

Paul writes:

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus…”
—Romans 8:1 KJV

And salvation is described:

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works…”
—Ephesians 2:8–9 KJV

The great question becomes less “Have I calculated the correct day?” and more “Am I in Christ?”

There is something especially beautiful when we put these passages together. God could have given Christians an exact date. Instead, the KJV repeatedly gives us something different:

Christ is coming.
The dead in Christ will rise.
Living believers will be changed.
We will be caught up together.
We will meet Him.
We will remain with Him forever.
Until then, watch, be ready, and comfort one another.

And perhaps the sentence God most wants a weary believer to remember isn’t a date at all:

“And so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

That is the promise at the center of the rapture. The timing may remain hidden, but the destination isn’t hidden: Jesus Christ.

Through all of my study, prayer, dreams, and contemplation, I KNOW that the rapture is near! This is something that I cannot deny, but I will leave it at that.

I will live each day as if the rapture could occur at any moment, for I feel that it actually can and will. My hope is not on the date, but in wanting to be with Christ…forever.

There is something said about studying end times prophecy. It is not just one scripture, nor is it only one event. It is a sequence of multiple scriptures, and at least Thirty-Five different events that will happen in the final seven years on the earth.

When you study it all together, things seem to fall into place… a sequence if you will. Events happening in the world are in harmony with those prophetic revelations, and you can see some of them begin to develop.

I have learned significant information that places the rapture as happening soon, and will hold onto those findings as the truth.

In the meantime, I will continue to love my family, and cherish the moments that I have with my grandchildren. I will seek to serve those who God calls me to help. I will relish in the fact that my mortal mission is coming to an end, and that my trials and hardships will soon be over. I will do all of this because I know the truth from the words that God has shared with all of us.

I will also realize that the adversary is NOT finished with trying to deceive all of us. I’m sorry to say this, but I can’t wait for God to Kick his A**! He has caused such grief and confusion in my life, and I am so over that!

I honestly pray for those who will be left behind when the antichrist increases his deception. Honestly, how will anyone not be deceived. It is difficult enough right now.

I’m grateful that I will not have to face this trial, and I look forward to “riding down” with Jesus to the earth and watch Him defeat satan and evil. I shouldn’t find joy in this thought, but I can’t help it. There has been far too much destruction, suffering and evil from this pathetic fallen “want to be leader.”

We should all still be very alert and expect the glorious event of the rapture…Lean on your own prayerful feelings, and trust God. If He’s telling you the same thing that He’s telling me, the time is short.

And, as a side note…Please take a moment and ask God to reveal any deception that might be in your life. Ask Him to show you, and more importantly, ask Him to lead you to the truth. Identifying deception is of little value until we know what the truth actually is.

I am forever grateful that I know that I will be included in the rapture as well as be with Jesus Christ forever in heaven. Both of these are something that my deceptive religion kept from me. There is so much peace that comes from the TRUTH. I invite all of you to find it in every aspect of your life.
