“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them…” Where Does this Scripture FIT Within End Times Prophecy? (KJV)

As I review the latest information that people are posting on social media, it seems to be quite evident that many people do not know where this scripture actually fits into end times prophecy. So, let’s take a look at the facts that we do know, and see where this scripture was meant to be placed, relating to the time structure of the end times.

A solid piece of evidence is “The Seven Years Peace Covenant” which begins the final seven years of the earth.

Daniel 9:27 (KJV)
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease…”

Under the common futurist/pre-tribulation interpretation, Daniel’s “week” represents seven years.

The critical expression is:

in the midst of the week.”

That divides the seven years into two halves of approximately 3½ years each.

Something dramatic happens at the midpoint: the covenant is violated and sacrifice ceases.

Daniel gives us another way of describing the second half:

Daniel 7:25 (KJV)
“…and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”

Time + times + half a time = 3½ years.

Revelation expresses essentially the same period as 42 months:

Revelation 13:5 (KJV)
“…and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.”

And Revelation 12:6 describes 1,260 days.

So, the second 3½ years is very clearly emphasized.

We also know that the second 3.5 years will be filled with tremendous challenge, and anything BUT peaceful events. Jesus described this period in the strongest possible terms, saying, For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be (Matthew 24:21 KJV).

Here are the events of the Second 3.5-year period of the 7-year Tribulation Period:

1. The Desolation of Abomination

  • Scriptures: Daniel 9:27; Daniel 11:31; Matthew 24:15

2. The Mark of the Beast

  • Scriptures: Revelation 13:16-18; Revelation 14:9-11

3. 7 Trumpet Judgments

  • Scriptures: Revelation 8:6-13; Revelation 9:1-21; Revelation 11:15

4. 7 Bowls of God’s Wrath

  • Scriptures: Revelation 16:1-21

5. Return of Jesus Christ

  • Scriptures: Revelation 19:11-16; Acts 1:11; Zechariah 14:4

6. Battle of Armageddon

  • Scriptures: Revelation 16:16; Revelation 19:19-21; Zechariah 14:2

But let’s take a look at how this seven-year period BEGINS.

Paul says:

1 Thessalonians 5:3 (KJV)
“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them…”

Daniel describes a covenant.

Paul describes Peace and safety.”

Daniel 8 contains another intriguing description of the coming ruler:

Daniel 8:25 (KJV)
“And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand… and by peace shall destroy many…”

That phrase is extraordinary:

“BY PEACE shall destroy many.”

If these passages concern the same end-times ruler or pattern—as many futurist interpreters believe—the Antichrist will not initially present himself as an obvious monster.

He may initially appear to be exactly what a frightened world desperately wants:

A peacemaker.

That would fit deception remarkably well.

Revelation’s first horse is particularly interesting

When the first seal opens:

Revelation 6:2 (KJV)
“And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Notice something peculiar.

He has a bow, but the verse mentions no arrows.

He receives a crown.

He begins conquering.

Many pre-tribulation interpreters identify this rider with the Antichrist or his system, though Scripture does not explicitly name him here.

If that interpretation is correct, his initial conquest could involve diplomacy, political power, treaties, economic influence, deception, or some combinationnot necessarily immediate worldwide warfare.

But then something changes.

The second horse appears:

Revelation 6:4 (KJV)
“…and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another…”

That wording is extremely important here.

“To take peace from the earth.”

For peace to be taken away, some degree of peace or perceived stability must exist beforehand.

So, we could potentially have:

Covenant → apparent peace → growing Antichrist power → peace removed → warfare → famine → death → midpoint crisis → Great Tribulation.

That fits surprisingly well. Are things starting to make sense to you?

But hold on for a minute. If the first 3.5 years are peaceful, why would God remove those people who are “in Christprior to this Peaceful Period?” God is suppose to be protecting us from His wrath, right?

There is one very important scripture teaching that we must consider first, that places the rapture at the very beginning of the 7-year Tribulation Period. And that teaching is the arrival of the antichrist.

Paul reveals an extraordinary detail concerning the appearance of the Antichrist: something is presently restraining him from being revealed.

Second Thessalonians 2:6–8 says, And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time… only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed.”

In the KJV, the word “letteth” carries the older meaning of restrains or holds back. Many pre-tribulation believers understand he who now letteth to refer to the restraining work of the Holy Spirit operating through the Church, those who are “in Christ”.

If that interpretation is correct, the order Paul gives is extremely significant: the Restrainer holds back evil → the Restrainer is “taken out of the way” → “then shall that Wicked be revealed.” This would beautifully fit the Rapture, because believers are presently indwelt by the Holy Ghost—your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you (1 Corinthians 6:19)

When the Church is caught up to meet Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17), the Spirit’s unique restraining work through the Church would be removed with it, allowing the Antichrist to step onto the world stage.

This then anchors the rapture happening prior to the antichrist taking the world stage. Let’s continue…

Let’s continue learning, because the first 3.5 years aren’t entirely peaceful.

Sometimes prophecy charts portray the first half as:

3½ peaceful years | 3½ terrible years

The KJV doesn’t really give us that clean division.

Revelation 6 includes warfare, famine, death and persecution. If those seals occur during the first half as I and many others believe is the case. We can see from these seals that the first half becomes progressively terrible. Let’s take a look at those seals right now:

1. First Seal – The White Horse – false peace and deception — often understood as the rise of Antichrist – Revelation 6:1–2  (This will occur immediately after the rapture)

2. Second Seal – The Red Horse – Warfare, bloodshed, and global conflict – Revelation 6:3–4 (Woah… that went fast!)

3. Third Seal – The Black Horse – Famine and economic collapse – Revelation 6:5–6

4. Fourth Seal – The Pale Horse – Widespread death through war, famine, disease, and wild beasts – Revelation 6:7–8

5. Fifth Seal – Cry of the Martyrs – Persecution of believers and martyrs crying for justice – Revelation 6:9–11

6. Sixth Seal – Cosmic Disturbances – Global terror and recognition of God’s wrathRevelation 6:12–17

7. Seventh Seal – Silence in Heaven – A solemn pause before the Trumpet Judgments begin – Revelation 8:1

It is my belief that the first 6 seals will take place during the FIRST 3.5-year period of the 7-year tribulation period. The 7th Seal will obviously introduce the 7 Trumpet Judgments happing, followed by the 7 Bowls of God’s Wrath being poured out onto the inhabitants of the earth. This occurs in the second 3.5-year period.

So, the first 3.5 years of the Tribulation will not be Entirely Peaceful.

And THIS is where the scripture Fits…At the very beginning of the 7-year Tribulation Period!

1 Thessalonians 5:3 (KJV)
“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them…”

The antichrist will begin the 7-year Tribulation Period with “Peace and Safety,” thus beginning the scripture promise. And, as you can see from the factual information above, this PEACE that he will brings very temporary. And thenSudden Destruction cometh upon them.

This scripture was speaking about the peace that the antichrist and his “team” would be bringing to the earth. This is important for everyone to know, because if you are left behind from the rapture, it is a VERY HIGH possibility that you will “LOVE” and “RESPECTthis new leader because of the peace that he will bring to the earth. THIS IS A DECEPTION!!!!!!!!! A person needs to be fully aware of what to expect, and KNOW that it is a TRAP!!!

If you are expecting this man to come, you will know that this new leader is indeed the antichrist that the prophets of God have been warning you about. You will also know tht deception will be his “strength.” If you KNOW this, you at least have a chance not to be caught up in the incredible deception that will take place in these final 7 years on earth.

To the majority of the world, I respectfully SCREAM from the housetops: THERE IS DANGER AHEAD, THAT COULC RESULT IN YOU LOSING YOUR VERY SOUL!! Unless you want to spend ETERNITY with satan, living in the Lake of Fire, PLEASE, PLEASE take some time to understand what deception is coming, and choose to COME TO CHRIST and become BORN AGAIN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Jesus will save you! This is the message for you to remember. He has come to all of us, however, WE must open that door and invite Him in.

He atoned for our sins, but you must accept that atonement and have faith that because of what He did for us, YOUR sins can be removed through your repentance and faith in His atonement. Yes, it is that simple!

Your faith must be genuine, not just going through the motions. But as you truly believe what I have just written, and accept the atonement of Jesus Christ into your own life and have faith, YOU will have the Spiritual Rebirth that Jesus taught in the New Testament. You then BELONG to God, as His child, and you are considered to be “in Christ” which will place you in heaven when you leave this earth.

You can NOT do this by yourself. You MUST include God in this process. Right now, talk to Him through a prayer, nothing formal, nor has there ever been a written script of what to say to Him. I offer the following to you as an idea of what you might say, however, it does not have to be these exact words. YOU speak with your own words to God.

God, I know that I am a sinner and cannot save myself. I believe that You died for my sins, were buried, and rose again. I place my faith in You alone and receive You as my Saviour. Forgive me, save me, and make me new. I trust Your finished work, not my own works, for everlasting life. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me. Amen.

The important thing is not the exact words of the prayer. A person could repeat every word without believing it, and it will be useless. What matters is the heart turning to Christ in faith. Jesus gave this wonderful promise: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life” (John 6:47 KJV).

Your prayer does not have to end with what I have written. Continue to talk to Him with what is on your mind. Tell Him about the things that you have done wrong, and ask for His forgiveness. Tell Him your struggles and ask for His help in becoming stronger, or even strength to endure the hardship.

And, let Him know what you are thankful for. Parents like to hear this along with all of the things that their children ask for. I’m certain our Heavenly Father must also rejoice when He hears a thank you on occasion.

I can tell you that if your prayer is sincere, you will immediately receive the spiritual rebirth! You will then become a better version of yourself. Your desire to sin will decrease, and your wanting to help others will increase. This is the evidence that you have been Born Again.

You will honestly know that you can not continue living your life WITHOUT God. He will become that piece of the puzzle of life that you have been missing.

Listen…. Do it right now, so that you can be included in the rapture that will soon take place. Then you will not have to worry about ANY of the events that will take place in the final 7 years, for you will already be with Jesus Christ, as you meet Him in the clouds:

1 Thessalonians 4:16–18

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

I hope to see all of you VERY SOON!!!
