God Is Still Giving Mankind Time to Turn to Jesus Christ — KJV

Turn on the news almost anywhere in the world and something feels different.

Earthquakes. Floods. Wars. Hunger. Nations threatening nations. People desperately searching for safety while life continues normally elsewhere—as though tomorrow were guaranteed.

Let me share some amazing details with you, showing us God’s Wake Up Call:

And those are only selected significant events—not every M5+ earthquake.

Major weather and natural disasters in 2026

The weather side of the story is striking as well.

China — extraordinary typhoons and flooding. Southern China was battered by Typhoon Maysak, followed by Super Typhoon Bavi. Reuters reported flooding, landslides and tornadoes, with hundreds of thousands displaced. Later, Typhoon Dolphin brought record rainfall and major flooding, and in late August a rare group of four simultaneous tropical systems—Narra, Saudel, Gaenari and Atsani—was affecting the Northwest Pacific/South China Sea region.

Nepal/Tibet — catastrophic Himalayan disaster. On August 26, a huge glacier collapse sent ice, rock and debris down the Himalayan valleys, producing catastrophic flash flooding. By August 28, Reuters reported at least 552 deaths and nearly 1,000 people still missing. More than 90,000 people were reported in urgent need of assistance.

Europe — extreme heat, drought and wildfires. France, Spain and Italy have suffered major wildfires during an exceptionally hot summer. More than 10,000 people were evacuated from a rapidly spreading wildfire near Bordeaux, while drought lowered major European waterways including the Rhine and Danube.

United States — fires, smoke and catastrophic flooding. By mid-July, Reuters reported 68 large wildfires across 15 states, with roughly 3.72 million acres burned in 2026. More than 100 million people were under air-quality alerts as wildfire smoke spread across parts of the East and Midwest. Texas also suffered severe flash flooding after some locations received more than 27 inches of rain.

China — heat and flooding threatening crops. Severe heatwaves and flooding have affected major Chinese agricultural regions since mid-July, while drought has affected Xinjiang’s cotton-growing region.

Europe — repeated heatwaves. By August 11, parts of Europe were enduring their fifth heatwave of the summer, accompanied by drought, wildfires and record-breaking temperatures. The World Meteorological Organization said extreme heat is becoming more frequent, more intense, longer lasting and geographically broader.

Southern China — August flooding. More than 54,000 people were relocated in Guangxi after heavy rainfall associated with Typhoon Narra produced severe flooding. In neighboring Taiwan, almost a meter of rain fell over three days in Kaohsiung during a separate tropical system.

And only days ago, an enormous Himalayan disaster struck Nepal and China. A glacier collapse sent rock, ice, mud and water tearing through valleys and communities. Reuters reported at least 359 people dead and nearly 1,000 missing as rescuers searched devastated areas.

Meanwhile, warfare continues. Conflict involving the United States and Iran has disrupted one of the world’s most important energy corridors around the Strait of Hormuz, while fighting and instability continue elsewhere in the Middle East.

And hunger remains an enormous worldwide problem. The World Food Programme warned this week that conflict is the leading driver of hunger worldwide, specifically pointing to places including Sudan, Gaza, Somalia and Yemen. Earlier this month, WFP also warned that El Niño could worsen food insecurity across dozens of vulnerable countries.

Now consider something remarkable.

Jesus Christ described a world experiencing these kinds of conditions nearly 2,000 years ago.

Jesus Told Us to Expect These Things

The disciples asked Jesus an extraordinary question:

Matthew 24:3 — KJV

“Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”

Jesus answered:

Matthew 24:6–8 — KJV

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Read those words again.

Wars.
Nations against nations.
Famines.
Pestilences.
Earthquakes in different places.

Jesus did not tell His followers these things so that Christians could become terrified every time the ground shakes.

Quite the opposite. He said:

see that ye be not troubled.”

Jesus was telling us beforehand that this present world is temporary.

And, to be specific, He wanted us to know that something PROFOUND is coming.

Imagine the Earth Trying to Wake Us Up

Imagine being asleep in your house when suddenly someone begins pounding on your front door. At first, you ignore it. Then the pounding becomes louder.

BANG. BANG. BANG.

Finally, you realize: Someone is trying desperately to wake you.

I sometimes wonder whether that is an appropriate picture of the world today.

Not because we can declare that every hurricane, earthquake, flood or wildfire is God’s direct judgment upon the people affected. Scripture does not give us authority to make that accusation.

But these events certainly remind mankind of something we desperately try to forget:

We are not in control.

We build skyscrapers; We build governments; We build armies; We accumulate money; We develop astonishing technology; We make retirement plans twenty years into the future.

And then the ground moves for thirty seconds. Suddenly everything mankind thought was permanent doesn’t seem quite so permanent anymore.

Jesus Said Something Else Would Happen

There is another part of Christ’s prophecy that receives far less attention.

Jesus said:

Matthew 24:37–39 — KJV

“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

Notice something.

Jesus didn’t describe everyone standing outside staring toward heaven waiting for judgment.

Life was continuing normally. People were Eating, Drinking, Getting Married, Making plans, Going about everyday life.

And then everything changed.

That may be one of the most sobering descriptions Jesus ever gave of the period surrounding His return.

The World Keeps Going About Its Business

There is tragedy somewhere in the world today, yet somewhere else someone is buying a new car.

Someone is planning a vacation.

Someone is watching television.

Someone is getting married.

Someone is starting a business.

Someone is worrying about what they’re going to have for dinner.

None of those ordinary activities are inherently wrong.

The danger is becoming so consumed with this life that we completely forget about eternity.

Jesus warned:

Luke 21:34 — KJV

“And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.”

There it is. The cares of this life.

Perhaps Satan doesn’t always need to convince someone that God doesn’t exist. Maybe sometimes all he needs to do is keep them too busy to think about Him. And, you tell me…How do you think he’s doing, distracting the world???

I get so distraught when I see, first-hand, just how many people are living their life without a clue what is coming. And what is even more troubling, is to KNOW that a religious leader is responsible for a clueless congregation, because he is choosing to remain silent about all of the prophecies that God shared with His true prophets, and recorded in the Bible.

God Has Shaken the Earth Before

Throughout Scripture, the shaking of the earth sometimes accompanies extraordinary moments involving God’s presence and power.

Psalm 18:7 — KJV

“Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.”

When Jesus died:

Matthew 27:50–51 — KJV

“Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

And Revelation tells us that enormous earthquakes will occur during the judgments yet to come.

Revelation 6:12 — KJV

“And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake…”

Eventually comes an earthquake unlike anything mankind has previously experienced:

Revelation 16:18 — KJV

“…and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

That should get our attention.

But Don’t Miss the Most Important Part

Some people read Revelation and see nothing but an angry God destroying the earth. They are missing something enormously important.

Before judgment, God warns.

Before the flood, Noah preached.

Before Nineveh faced destruction, Jonah warned them.

Before Jerusalem’s destruction, prophets warned Israel.

And before the final judgments described in Revelation, God has given mankind an entire book explaining what is coming.

Why?

Because:

2 Peter 3:9 — KJV

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

God’s patience should never be confused with God’s absence. Every additional day is another day someone can turn toward Jesus Christ. Yet, I for one, KNOW that time is running out.

The Door of the Ark Was Open Before It Was Closed

This is one of the most powerful pictures in Scripture.

Noah built the ark. The warning had been given, then Noah entered…And something fascinating happened.

Genesis 7:16 — KJV

“…and the LORD shut him in.

God closed the door.

There came a moment when the opportunity to enter the ark had ended.

Jesus deliberately connected Noah’s generation with His own return.

That means Noah’s ark gives us a powerful picture of something we need to understand:

God’s patience is enormous—but the opportunity to respond should never be presumed to last forever.

Today the invitation remains open.

You Don’t Need a Religion to Save You

This is where the message becomes personal. When the earth shakes, your denomination cannot save you. Your church membership cannot save you. Your money cannot save you. Your good reputation cannot save you. Your religious ceremonies cannot save you.

Jesus Christ saves.

Jesus said:

John 3:3 — KJV

“Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

And, just a heads-up…Born Again is NOT your baptism, as some churches teach.  Scripture tells us how salvation comes:

Ephesians 2:8–9 — KJV

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Jesus already paid the price through His atoning sacrifice. It is up to us to accept this gift through FAITH, causing us to have a new Spiritual Rebirth.

Our salvation is ONLY because of Him. You can not believe that it is partially due to your church, temple ordinances, your own good works, nor all of the tithing that you have paid. The exclusive glory of our salvation belongs 100% to Jesus Christ.

If someone believes that their church membership and good works contribute to earning, or securing their salvation, there is a serious conflict between that belief and the New Testament gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Let’s get back on track now…

Romans 5:8 — KJV

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

This is not primarily a message about earthquakes. It isn’t primarily about hurricanes. It isn’t primarily about Iran, Israel, wars, famine or floods. It is about Jesus Christ.

Perhaps These Events Should Cause Us to Look Up

We should be careful here.

We cannot take today’s newspaper and confidently assign every headline to a particular verse in Revelation.

A magnitude-7 earthquake occurring today does not automatically mean a particular seal, trumpet or vial has been fulfilled.

Jesus Himself said:

“the end is not yet.”

But neither should we ignore what He told us.

When we see wars…

When we see nations in turmoil…

When we see hunger…

When we see earthquakes…

When we see enormous natural disasters…

Perhaps instead of merely asking,

“What in the world is happening?”

we should also ask:

“Was Jesus warning us that this world was never going to remain as it is?”

The answer is yes.

God Is Still Giving Us Time

That may be the most encouraging part of everything happening around us. We are still here. The Gospel can still be preached. Someone can still open a Bible. Someone can still fall to their knees. Someone can still call upon Jesus Christ. Someone who has spent fifty years running away from God can turn toward Him today.

Romans 10:9 — KJV

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

And:

Romans 10:13 — KJV

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Whosoever.

Not merely church members. Not merely religious leaders. Not merely people who have lived perfect lives…Whosoever!

One Day the Warning Will Become Reality

Jesus gave us one final instruction that deserves to be written across every generation:

Matthew 24:44 — KJV

“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

Maybe that is what the world desperately needs to hear right now.

Not:

“Be terrified.”

But:

“Wake up.”

Look around. Look at how fragile this world really is. Look at what Jesus told us nearly two thousand years ago. And most importantly:

Look to Jesus Christ.

God has not abandoned mankind. God is still calling mankind. God is still offering salvation through His Son. The door is still open. But Jesus never told us to assume that it would remain open forever.

Today is the day to know where you stand with Jesus Christ.

Because perhaps the greatest message behind a world that can change in an instant is simply this:

This world is temporary. Jesus Christ is eternal. And God, in His mercy, is still giving mankind time to turn to Him.

It is my hope that you are AWAKE. Not only specific to end times prophecy, but are awake to the true gospel of Jesus Christ as taught by Him and His apostles when they were on the earth, and recorded in the New Testament.

It is IMPARATIVE that you learn how to become “Born Again” as Jesus taught. You will NOT find His teaching of this concept in any other scripture! You will not learn the TRUTH of this from anyone currently on earth claiming to be a “prophet.”… Just you and God, sitting down with the New Testament and studying… THIS is how you find truth.

I recently left a church after discovering that the ONLY thing required to enter Heaven was to be Born Again as taught in the Bible. THE ONLY THING!! And through the deception of a false prophet, that one thing was something that this church did not teach correctly….BAPTISM!?!

Can you imagine that if you were to die believing this false teaching, you very likely could miss out on going to heaven?

How important is this, to get it right? Nicodemus was a strong religious leader, and in spite of all of the things that he had done, Jesus told him one thing…

John 3:3 KJV

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Are you a Nicodemus? If you are, I encourage you to do as Christ has requested, and become Born Again.

Time is just about up! I hope that you are prepared, for the rapture is simply Days Away!!

  1. I cannot wait for the rapture!! I mean I just absolutely cannot WAIT!!! I once asked the Lord the very stupid question: are people really THAT mean? (see, I truly believe America is both mystery Babylon and the daughter of Babylon & heaven will REJOICE….. REJOICE!!!!! when she is totally wiped out at the proper time.

Without a doubt HE SHOWED ME the wickedness of mankind! (I’ve previously shared bits of my story though most just could not, ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT believe it!!) And it’s all WITHOUT CAUSE as I’ve done NOTHING to them!!!

With my whole heart, I pray THIS IS IT!!! And that we are only weeks away at the most!!

Quite a “list”!! Can add to that: Oklahoma a month and a half of temps 100 degrees or more!! RECORD SETTER!!! I mean, it “used to occasionally” get to 104-105 & maybe last a few days, but this ongoing stuff is not fun at all!!

    Sooooo ready for that trumpet!!

  2. Sorry, didn’t know how to edit previous comment — but yes, I DO HOPE the rapture is merely DAYS AWAY!!! (NOT weeks away as I’d stated!!!)

Of course I’m surrounded by people who speak of “next year” (or even 10 years from now!) and I’m totally BLINDSIDED that anyone can even THINK this world will continue status quo for that long!! Unfortunately even my own husband is in this group. Partly my fault, I wonder? After all, I’ve spoken to him about the rapture for over 3 decades! Yet, when a person cannot SEE IT NOW???!!!!
