What Would Jesus Say to His Followers Right Now, Waiting for the Rapture? We No Longer have to Wonder (KJV)

Our King; Our Leader: Our Savior… If only He were to give us His comforting words right now…It would help many of us who are patiently waiting for His return. We pray…we listen…We HOPE…and then realize that He already has given us exactly that…HIS WORDS.

So, today, I would like to show you HIS EXACT WORDS that He would like for us to know, and then, in using those words, create Him talking to us in the language of today.

If we only use the words and teachings of Jesus recorded in the King James Version, His message to those waiting for His return is one of hope, faithfulness, readiness, and perseverance. He repeatedly encourages His followers not to become discouraged, but to continue trusting Him until He comes.

1. “Do not let your hearts be troubled.”

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.”
— John 14:1 (KJV)

Jesus knew His disciples would face uncertainty after He departed. His first instruction was not to fear, but to continue believing in Him.

2. “I am coming back.”

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
— John 14:3 (KJV)

This is one of Christ’s clearest promises. His departure was not permanent. He promised to return personally for His people.

3. “Watch.”

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
— Matthew 24:42 (KJV)

Watching is not setting dates or living in fear. It is living with expectancy, remaining faithful, and keeping our eyes on Christ.

4. “Be ready.”

“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
— Matthew 24:44 (KJV)

Jesus emphasized readiness more than speculation. Every day should be lived as though He could return at any time.

5. “Occupy till I come.”

“And he said unto them, Occupy till I come.”
— Luke 19:13 (KJV)

His followers are not called to withdraw from life, but to faithfully carry out the work He has entrusted to them until He returns.

6. “Continue in My love.”

“Continue ye in my love.”
— John 15:9 (KJV)

Waiting is not merely watching the news. It is abiding in Christ, walking with Him, and remaining in His love.

7. “Do not be afraid.”

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
— Luke 12:32 (KJV)

Jesus calls His followers “little flock.” Even if they seem few or feel overlooked, the Father’s purpose for them has not changed.

8. “Endure faithfully.”

“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
— Matthew 24:13 (KJV)

Jesus acknowledged that the last days would be difficult. He called His disciples to remain faithful rather than give up.

9. “Do not lose heart because I seem delayed.”

In the parable of the persistent widow, Jesus taught:

“And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?”
— Luke 18:7 (KJV)

He told this parable so that people “ought always to pray, and not to faint” (Luke 18:1).

10. “Surely I am coming.”

The final promise of the New Testament is:

“Surely I come quickly.”
— Revelation 22:20 (KJV)

John responds,

“Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”

Although Revelation was given to John after Jesus’ earthly ministry, these are presented as the words of the risen Christ.

Alright, now let’s take those words that Jesus has spoken to us, and place them in today’s language, and read what a personal letter from Christ, written to you right now would look like:

If Jesus were speaking directly to those waiting today, using His own teachings, His message might sound like this:

A Loving Message from the Savior to Those Who Are Waiting

My beloved child,

I know that waiting is not easy. I see every prayer you have prayed, every tear you have shed, and every time you have looked toward heaven wondering when I will come.

Do not let your heart be troubled. Believe in Me. I have not forgotten you, and I have not abandoned you. I know your name, your struggles, and your desire to be with Me.

I promised that I have gone to prepare a place for you, and I always keep My promises. The day is coming when I will receive you unto Myself, and we will never be separated again.

Until that day, keep watching with hope, not fear. Be ready by walking with Me each day. Remain in My love, trust My words, and let My peace guard your heart.

Do not be afraid, little flock. Even if you feel alone in this world, your Father delights in giving you the kingdom. You are precious to Him, and nothing can separate you from His love.

While you wait, continue the work I have given you. Love others, forgive freely, encourage the weary, and share the good news of My salvation. No act of faithfulness is ever forgotten.

Pray continually, and do not lose heart. When you are weary, come to Me. When you are discouraged, trust that My timing is perfect. Every promise I have made will be fulfilled.

Hold tightly to your faith. The darkness of this world will not last forever. Keep your eyes on Me, for the day is coming when your faith will become sight, your burdens will be lifted, and you will finally be home.

Until then, remember this:

I am with you.

I am faithful.

I love you.

Surely, I come quickly.

It is my belief that these are the words that the Savior would like us to hear right now. They are “personal” and written from the very person who we are waiting for to rescue us from this world once again. I invite you to read them frequently.

Something else that has helped me tremendously; rather than saying that I am “waiting” for His return, I think in my mind that I am “trusting” in His return. I grow impatient when I wait, but I will trust Him endlessly without effort.

I trust in His extreme sacrifice of the atonement fully, knowing that He has made it possible for me to be forgiven of my sins. This trust always produces incredible compassion, gratitude, and love for my Savior.

So too is it when I trust in His return for the rapture. I no longer am impatient, but am filled with compassion, love, gratitude, and an overwhelming sense of relief, knowing that my Savior is coming to remove me from the events of the last days.  I rejoice in thinking that my mortal challenge is coming to an end, and that I will be with Him very soon, and have a perfect glorified body.

“Waiting” produces a sense of dread, which is far from the actual emotion that the rapture should bring to us. “Trusting” fits perfectly into the emotions that should surround us as we prepare for such a glorious event, as the rapture.

For believers who have waited a long time, one of Jesus’ most comforting promises remains the one He gave before His crucifixion:

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
— John 14:27 (KJV)

That promise speaks not only to the moment of His return, but also to the days of waiting beforehand.

Lastly, do we fully understand the period of history that we are in right now? Sadly, there are many who have no idea…But not you and Me.

We are in the “Last Days” and are moments away from the miracle of the rapture. We have been preparing, gathering enough oil so that we can see the return of the “Bridegroom,” who is coming for His “Bride;” those who are “in Christ.” For most of you reading this today, you are READY! You have received the spiritual transformation of becoming “Born Again.” You KNOW that you will be included in the rapture, and this in itself is so comforting. No uncertainty of what is coming next, for you know…YOU KNOW!!!!!

We know God’s plan of the last days because of what He revealed to His servants the prophets and recorded in the Bible. So now, our job is to trust God. He has the perfect plan, and the perfect date of sending Jesus Christ for us. Let us TRUST that DATE. We do not know when He will come, but God does. It is perfect, and the very best time in His plan for everything that is involved. When we try to rush it, we are trying to change God’s plan, and we are abandoning our trust in Him…So today, we no longer are waiting, we are TRUSTING that the rapture will occur, at the exact moment that He has already planned.

My prayers for all of you continue. I spend so much time in prayer asking how I can help all of you who have supported me for the past several years. I feel that God certainly has answered these prayers in providing todays content of this writing. He hears us. He knows that we are weary sometimes when we wait for the return of the Savior. And, He has given us todays words to help us in trusting His plan.

There are days, like today, when I feel that the veil is so thin, and that God is right beside me whispering the answers to my prayers.

There is also something that I have learned this past month, that has been from those whispers as well, as I have been “waiting” for the rapture. When I rely on my own abilities, I become discouraged and inpatient. I then realize that I need God, once again, to assist me with my challenge. And, as soon as I ask Him for His help, I am guided with His solution, details, and strength.

If you haven’t learned already in this life, I believe, one of the greatest purposes of coming to earth is to realize how much we need God, and our Savior Jesus Christ. Needing them is NOT a weakness, it is the very purpose of our challenges. It is one of the most important reasons of coming to earth.

If we ever feel like “giving up” on something, that should be our cue that perhaps we have exhausted all of our own abilities, and it is time to turn it over to God, through Jesus Christ. And once again, we take the emotion of giving up, and replace it with TRUST towards the Ones who can deal with the challenge at hand.

In these last few moments, let us continue in our spiritual development, and use this time in trusting God, regardless of when the rapture happens. We will trust in His plan, and not in our convenience or desire. He knows what is best, considering all things, and has set His pan for the end times. Again, we can focus our emotions of being grateful that we have done our part in accepting His gift of the atonement, and are qualified because of HIM to be rescued. What if you didn’t have that knowledge? We are so fortunate that we do.

Jesus gave His life for us, we can sacrifice our impatience for Him, and we can do this with ease as we rewrite this as “Trusting” Him, rather than waiting.
