“Team Satan” Is Just Waiting for the Rapture—and Running Out of Cards to Play – There is ONE Thing that they Don’t Know (KJV)

July 17, 2026 | www.gospelofjesuschrist.blog | River Wilde

The thoughts in this article are my personal opinions and understanding of Bible prophecy. They are not presented as statements of fact or as claims of hidden knowledge. I encourage every reader to search the Scriptures for themselves and “prove all things.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21 KJV).

Have you noticed that this year it seems like the world is constantly moving… but never actually getting anywhere?

Every week there is a new “major breakthrough” followed by a “major setback.” One crisis appears to be over, only to return days later. The headlines constantly change, but very little ever seems to reach a true conclusion.

To me, it feels like watching the same movie over and over again, with only a few scenes being changed.

Here are just a few examples of what I’m referring to from this year:

  • The Strait of Hormuz: Closed → Open → Threatened → Open → Threatened again.
  • Iran Nuclear Negotiations: Peace appears close → Talks collapse → Diplomacy resumes → Conflict returns.
  • Israel–Hamas: Ceasefire → Fighting → Ceasefire → Fighting.
  • Russia–Ukraine: Hope for peace → War continues → New negotiations → More fighting.
  • United States–China Relations: Cooperation → Tension → Cooperation → Tension.
  • Ukraine Aid: Approved → Delayed → Approved → Debated again.
  • Federal Budget and Debt Ceiling: Crisis → Temporary solution → Crisis again.
  • The Stock Market: Rally → Selloff → Rally → Selloff.
  • UFO News: A mysterious “mothership” dominates headlines… then suddenly disappears… then returns… then becomes an apparent threat… then fades away almost completely.

These are only a handful of examples. There are dozens more. It almost feels as though the entire world has been placed into a holding pattern. Nothing quite finishes. Nothing reaches its final destination. Everything seems to remain in motion without arriving anywhere. Have you noticed that?

A Thought That Has Continued to Grow in My Mind

I would like to share an idea that has become increasingly convincing to me during the past several years of studying Bible prophecy.

Again, this is simply my opinion.

For approximately four years I have devoted much of my Bible study to God’s prophetic plan for the last days. One of the verses that continually amazes me is this:

“Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”
Amos 3:7 (KJV)

God is not interested in surprising His people. Throughout Scripture He repeatedly warned mankind before major judgments.

He warned Noah before the Flood.

He warned Lot before Sodom was destroyed.

He warned Israel through the prophets.

And He has given us an enormous amount of information concerning the final days before Christ establishes His Kingdom. In fact, a significant portion of the Bible contains prophetic material. Yet many Christians avoid studying it altogether. That has always puzzled me. If God took the time to reveal these things, shouldn’t we desire to understand them?

God’s Plan—Not Satan’s

One truth that has become increasingly clear to me is this:

The end times belong to God.

They are not Satan’s plan.

They are God’s plan.

Satan is not writing the script.

God already wrote it.

Satan can only act within the boundaries that God allows.

That means the Antichrist cannot simply appear whenever he wishes.

He cannot begin his final deception until God allows the prophetic timetable to move forward.

Waiting for One Event

As I understand Scripture, one major event must occur before the final seven-year Tribulation begins.

The Rapture.

Those who are “in Christ” will be caught up to meet the Lord. Only then does the prophetic clock move into its final phase. Whether someone agrees with a pre-tribulation view or not, one thing is clear:

The Bible presents God’s prophetic events as occurring according to His timing—not man’s.

Satan Reads the Same Bible

Sometimes Christians speak as though Satan has no understanding of prophecy. I don’t believe that.

Satan knows Scripture. He quoted it while tempting Jesus. His demons recognized Christ long before many people did. He has watched God’s prophecies unfold for thousands of years. Why would we assume he ignores the prophecies that remain? He cannot know everything that God knows.

He certainly does not know the day or hour of Christ’s coming.

Jesus Himself said:

“But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.”
Mark 13:32 (KJV)

If the angels do not know… Neither does Satan.

But just as many Bible-believing Christians recognize that we appear to be living in a unique prophetic season, it seems reasonable to me that Satan would also recognize the season—even if he does not know the exact day.

Running Out of Cards to Play

This brings me to my theory.

What if the repeated cycles we are witnessing are not random? What if team satan is simply waiting for the one thing that must happen before he get a chance to enter the worlds stage?

What if major players continue preparing scenarios that never fully launch because this necessary prophetic event has not yet occurred?

In my opinion, it almost feels like someone continually shuffling the deck because the game cannot officially begin.

Every few weeks another narrative rises to the surface. Then it fades. Then another appears. Then that one fades as well. Almost as though various explanations are continually being rehearsed.

The UFO Narrative

Let me give you a specific example: The continuing UFO discussion. Please understand—I am not claiming this is what will happen. I am simply offering one possible explanation that many prophecy students have discussed.

If millions of people suddenly vanished—including countless children—the world would demand an explanation. The governments of the world would almost certainly attempt to provide one. If they reject the biblical explanation, another explanation would have to be offered.

Could an alien-abduction narrative become one possible explanation? Perhaps. Perhaps not. But it is interesting to watch the story repeatedly explode into the headlines…only to disappear…then return…then disappear once again.

To me, it resembles a storyline that is repeatedly tested but never fully used because team satan is not in charge of the timing of the last seven years on earth.

Peace That Never Quite Arrives

Here is another example: Peace in the Middle East.

The Bible indicates that a future world leader, the antichrist, will confirm a covenant involving Israel and surrounding nations, that begins the final seven years (Daniel 9:27).

This agreement is actually when the antichrist will be revealed to the world, but it CANNOT happen until the rapture event happens, because this is God’s plan…and it is driving team satan nuts.

So, what do we continually observe?

Peace talks. Negotiations. Announcements. Breakthroughs. Collapses. More negotiations. More meetings. More optimism. More disappointment. It is almost as though the story line is moving towards the crescendo of this peace agreement, but the rapture has not happened at a time that they thought it would.

So, it’s back to the beginning again to start the narrative over, because they KNOW that we are in the SEASON of the rapture, just like many of us know as well.

Why This Matters

This entire reset is evidence to me that we are certainly in the season of the rapture. You have seen many, recently declare a high rapture watch date, because this is what they believe through their own individual studies of “end times” prophecies as recorded in the bible.

I am the same. I have my high rapture date times as well…and so does “team satan.” And just like some of us, he is getting it wrong, but there is one thing that I believe he knows for certain…the rapture is VERY CLOSE, as we are indeed in the season.

I must be honest, this makes me smile, and even laugh out loud. Satan can not start with his agenda until God says so by rapturing those in Christ. Satan keeps guessing when he thinks that the rapture will happen, as evident by all of the start and stops with world events, going round and round with no conclusions. And so far, his guesses are completely wrong, which means that he needs to go to plan B…Plan C… and on and on.

In a way though, he is giving us a heads up as well that the rapture is soon, by his cycling story lines.

Again, this is only a thought, and I am not stating that this is actually fact, but it is surely interesting to me.

I’m indeed grateful for all of the information that God has given to us about the end times through scripture. I patiently await his rescue plan of the rapture, and am so comforted that I KNOW how to “qualify” to be included in such a spiritual event.

Please let me know in the comments what you think about this narrative, and even if you have your own ideas.
