In studying End-Times Prophecy, as recorded by the Prophets of God in the Bible, there is one very important event that is to occur, which will be the time stamp, and anchor, of the final 7 years on earth.
The Peace Agreement with Israel – Starts the 7-year Tribulation Period
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease…“
— Daniel 9:27 (KJV)
In this view:
- “One week” represents seven years.
- he, the antichrist, confirms a covenant with Israel and many nations.
- Israel appears to enjoy a period of security.
- Temple sacrifices are resumed, indicating that a new temple will be built by the Jewish people in Israel.
- At the midpoint (3½ years), the antichrist breaks the covenant.
- He stops the sacrifices and commits the abomination of desolation.
That is indeed a lot of information so, let’s see the entire picture of how things play out, for additional learning.
Once this 7-year peace agreement is confirmed between Israel and surrounding nations, it sets all of the other biblical prophecies in motion. As you can see from the following teachings, all the way to the FINAL second Coming of Jesus Christ, and the destruction of the earth.
The Seven Year Tribulation Period – The first 3½ years
After this peace agreement is signed, the first half is often understood as a time of relative peace and political stability. The coming world ruler will initially gain the trust and confidence of the nations through diplomacy, negotiations, and peace agreements.
According to this interpretation of Bible prophecy, the Antichrist will emerge onto the world stage as a charismatic leader who appears to offer solutions to many of the world’s most difficult political, economic, and security crises. His leadership will usher in a temporary period of peace and stability that will convince many that he is the answer the world has been seeking.
As part of this peace agreement, the way will be opened for a new Jewish temple to be built on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem—a location that has long been one of the most disputed and politically sensitive places on earth because of its significance to both Jews and Muslims. What has seemed impossible for generations may suddenly become possible through this remarkable agreement.
Temple sacrifices have been halted since the destruction of Solomons Temple 2000 years ago. This new temple MUST be built, in order for the other end times prophecies to be fulfilled.
While the world celebrates peace because of the antichrist, the Bible indicates that deception is already underway.
Paul warned:
“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them…”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:3 (KJV)
The middle of the seven years
Exactly halfway through the seven years, everything changes.
Daniel wrote:
“…in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease…”
— Daniel 9:27 (KJV)
Jesus referred directly to this event:
“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place…”
— Matthew 24:15 (KJV)
Paul also described this same individual:
“Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God… so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”
— 2 Thessalonians 2:3–4 (KJV)
To put this in simple terms to understand, at the midway point of the 7-year tribulation period, the antichrist will enter this new temple, and declare that he is god. The Bible consistently portrays Satan as a deceiver. He seeks worship, but he does not typically reveal himself openly as Satan. Instead, he imitates God and Christ.
The last 3½ years
The second half is commonly called the “Great Tribulation”.
Jesus said:
“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
— Matthew 24:21 (KJV)
During this time:
- The Antichrist demands worship.
- The False Prophet, a separate man from the antichrist, performs deceptive miracles.
- The mark of the beast is enforced. This is a person’s commitment to follow satan rather than God.
- Severe judgments from God fall upon the earth.
- Israel experiences unprecedented persecution.
- Many people come to faith in Christ despite intense suffering.
How the seven years end
At the close of the seven years, Jesus Christ returns visibly and in glory.
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True…”
— Revelation 19:11 (KJV)
Christ defeats the gathered armies, judges the Antichrist and the False Prophet, and establishes His kingdom.
A simple timeline
- The covenant is confirmed (Daniel 9:27).
- The final seven years begin.
- A new temple is built upon the temple mount.
- Relative peace during the first 3½ years.
- Temple sacrifices are stopped.
- The abomination of desolation occurs.
- The Great Tribulation begins.
- Christ returns in glory.
- Christ establishes His kingdom.
For those who hold a pre-tribulation understanding, the rapture of the Church occurs before this seven-year period begins (1 Thessalonians 4:16–18), meaning believers are caught up to be with Christ before God’s judgments unfold on the earth.
So, not that we have established the importance of this time stamp for the final seven years on earth, what are the ACTUAL EVENTS which are happening in our world right now, regarding the “Signing of this 7-year Peace Agreement” with Israel”
There are two different groups that end times prophecy watchers are focused upon right now:
1. The Abraham Accords
The Abraham Accords remain one of the primary diplomatic frameworks for normalization between Israel and Arab nations. The Trump administration has repeatedly stated that expanding these agreements is a major foreign policy objective.
Recent developments include:
- Continued efforts to bring additional Arab and Muslim nations into normalization with Israel.
- Discussions about broader regional security arrangements.
- New peace frameworks involving neighboring countries such as Lebanon, which recently signed a U.S.-brokered framework agreement intended to end hostilities, although many details still depend on future implementation.
Many analysts believe the administration is attempting to build a much broader regional peace architecture than existed under the original Abraham Accords.
2. President Trump’s “Board of Peace”
The Board of Peace has become an official international body focused initially on Gaza’s post-war administration and reconstruction.
According to the White House, its stated mission includes:
- overseeing Gaza reconstruction
- coordinating international funding
- supporting regional stability
- encouraging long-term peace efforts
President Trump formally ratified its charter in January 2026 and described it as a major vehicle for achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.
Since then:
- member nations have pledged billions toward reconstruction,
- several countries have discussed contributing stabilization forces,
- the Board has expanded its stated ambitions beyond Gaza into broader international peace initiatives.
At present:
- No publicly announced seven-year covenant matching Daniel 9:27 has been signed.
- No agreement presently includes the rebuilding or operation of a Third Temple.
- No world leader has confirmed such a covenant.
This agreement is likely to come from one / both of these two organizations. When you take the time to study both of these entities, you can see the progress that is happening to fulfill the signing of this 7-year peace agreement.
For those who say that many past generations have thought that they were in the end times, and “no one knows the day nor the hour of His coming,” Let me respectfully say that it is very evident that you are not studying these biblical prophecies, for they tell a very different story.
The Savior did say that no man know the day nor the hour, but that it simply a 24-hour period. We can know the year as well as the season, and to you my friend, we are currently in the season of the Rapture. We are in the season of this 7-year peace agreement being signed, and the starting of the final seven years on the earth.
God has given us all of this information directly through His prophets and recorded in the Bible, so that you and me would know the season of all of these events. They are no longer a “mystery,” and can easily be understood through study with the companionship of God, through His Holy Spirit.
If you have the mindset of, “I’ll just wait and see what happens” you might very well find yourself missing the rapture, and being involved in the challenges of the 7-year Tribulation Period.
I invite you today to come to Jesus Christ. Learn of Him through His word. Believe with all your heart that He died for your sins, was buried, and rose again. Trust completely in His atonement as the only payment for your salvation. Repent—turn to Him in faith—and receive Him as your Savior. He has promised that whosoever cometh to Him He will be saved.
