(The views expressed in this article are my personal interpretations of the Bible, particularly concerning biblical prophecy and the end times. They are offered for discussion, study, and personal reflection. I do not claim special revelation, nor do I speak on behalf of any church, denomination, religious organization, or its leaders. Readers are encouraged to study the Scriptures for themselves, seek God’s guidance through prayer, and draw their own conclusions.)
Let me begin by teaching a brief outline of the end times. The final seven years on earth is called the 7-year Tribulation Period. It starts with a peace agreement being signed by the Antichrist and others, bringing peace to Israel and surrounding Nations. Alright, let get into the details:
The 7-Year Peace Agreement and the Beginning of the Tribulation
Many students of the Bible believe that the future 7-year Tribulation Period will begin when a world leader, commonly identified as the Antichrist, confirms or strengthens a covenant involving Israel and other nations.
Daniel 9:27 (KJV) says:
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease…”
In this prophecy, the phrase “one week” is understood to mean seven years. According to this interpretation, the Antichrist will help establish a significant agreement that brings a measure of peace and security, particularly involving Israel. The confirmation of this covenant is viewed as the event that officially begins Daniel’s final “week”—the seven-year Tribulation Period. Let’s keep learning…
For the first 3½ years of this 7 year period, the agreement appears successful. Peace will come to Israel. However, in the middle of the seven years, the Antichrist breaks the covenant, stops temple worship in the newly built temple upon the “temple Mount (by the Jewish people), and commits what Jesus called the “abomination of desolation” (Matthew 24:15 KJV).
This marks the beginning of the Great Tribulation, or second half of the 7 Year Tribulation Period. This final 3.5 years upon the earth will be incredibly challenging, and will be the specific period of time when God will pour out His 7 Bowls of Wrath (Revelation 15–16). A period of unprecedented trouble upon the earth. Jesus described it this way:
“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
— Matthew 24:21 (KJV)
The final 3½ years culminate in the visible return of Jesus Christ, who defeats the Antichrist and establishes His kingdom.
Simple Timeline
- Covenant confirmed (Daniel 9:27) → Tribulation begins.
- First 3½ years → Relative peace and growing deception.
- Covenant broken → Antichrist reveals his true nature.
- Great Tribulation (last 3½ years).
- Jesus Christ returns in power and glory.
Many prophecy teachers therefore watch developments involving Israel and Middle East peace efforts because they believe Daniel 9:27 indicates that a future covenant involving “many” will be the event that starts the final seven years before Christ’s return
So, now that you are caught up to date with the 7-year peace agreement that will start the final 7 years upon the earth, let’s take a look into the current event of the day that relate to this prophecy.
Here are the headlines from the News on May 25, 2026
Trump is actively pushing for a major expansion of the Abraham Accords. Over the past several days, he has urged several Muslim-majority countries—including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Egypt, and Jordan—to normalize relations with Israel and join the accords.
Trump is linking the Abraham Accords to ongoing negotiations with Iran. According to multiple reports, he believes that a broader regional peace framework could emerge if current diplomatic efforts with Iran succeed. He has even suggested that, someday, Iran itself could be part of a wider regional normalization process.
Saudi Arabia remains the biggest target—and the biggest obstacle. Trump reportedly views a Saudi-Israeli agreement as the crown jewel of any Abraham Accords expansion. However, Saudi leaders continue to insist that Israel must provide a credible path toward Palestinian statehood before normalization can occur. Israel’s current government has not accepted that condition, making a near-term agreement difficult.
Trump has also encouraged Syria to join. During earlier diplomatic contacts, he urged Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa to consider joining the Abraham Accords as part of Syria’s reintegration into the region.
Why This Matters
The Abraham Accords were originally signed in 2020 between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and later other participants, normalizing diplomatic relations between those nations and Israel. Trump considers them one of the signature foreign-policy achievements of his first administration and is attempting to build on them during his current term.
This current news strengthens this group of nations with the intent to bring peace to Israel.
In addition to the Abraham Accords, President Trump has established the “Board of Peace.”
The Board of Peace is a new international organization announced by President Donald Trump in 2026. Trump serves as its chairman, and its stated purpose is to oversee peace-building, reconstruction, and stabilization efforts, beginning with Gaza after the Israel–Hamas war. The board includes participation from several Middle Eastern and other nations and is intended to coordinate ceasefires, reconstruction funding, security arrangements, and regional cooperation.
From a biblical prophecy perspective, some Christians find it interesting because:
- It focuses on the Middle East, particularly Israel and its neighbors.
- It seeks to bring together multiple nations around a peace framework.
- It involves discussions of security guarantees, reconstruction, and regional agreements.
- It could potentially influence future diplomatic arrangements involving Israel.
How Some Prophecy Teachers Connect This to Daniel’s Peace Agreement
Daniel 9:27 (KJV) states:
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week…”
Under that interpretation, they watch for:
- A covenant or agreement involving Israel.
- Multiple nations (“with many”) participating.
- Security or peace guarantees.
- A future leader who confirms or strengthens the agreement.
Because the Board of Peace involves international diplomacy surrounding Israel and neighboring nations, some prophecy watchers speculate that it could become one of the diplomatic mechanisms that eventually helps produce or support the covenant described in Daniel 9:27.
You can see that we are already at this point of the end times prophecies:
Zechariah 12:2–3 (KJV)
“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
So, for those of you who are new to studying end times revelation, it is quite interesting to keep up to date with any news that sheds light on the development of a 7-year peace agreement between Israel and neighboring nations, for this will start the FINAL 7 years on earth.
Let me just briefly conclude with something even more fascinating. The antichrist, who will be involved with the signing of this 7-year peace agreement, cannot be revealed onto the world stage until God removes the “restrainer” (His spirit) from the earth.
The spirit of God is in every “born again” follower of Jesus Christ. God will remove His spirit, (all born again believers) in His rescue plan known as the Rapture.
The Rapture MUST happen before this 7-year peace agreement is signed. Can you see the significance here? If things are developing right now in putting that peace agreement together, we can then conclude that the rapture is NEAR.
I’d like to address this scripture:
Matthew 24:36 (KJV):
“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
Those who study end times prophecy have come to understand what was meant by scriptures such as this. No man knoweth the day nor the hour. This is a 24-hour period of time. The scripture says nothing about knowing the Year or the Season, both of which can be determined with additional scripture study.
I can boldly state that we are in the Season of the Rapture, and I quite honestly would not be surprised if it happened any day now, and certainly in the year 2026… THIS YEAR!

What makes this such an important topic to study right now, is to see if you will be taken in the rapture or will have to stay on the earth to endure the final 7-year Tribulation period.
You can study how to become “Born Again” or to be “in Christ” as taught in the New Testament. For these will be the people who will be rescued in the rapture.
A word of immediate caution: If you are waiting for your church leaders to teach you all of this, you will likely be left behind. Take ownership of your spirituality, and remove that responsibility of others being in charge of YOUR Learning.
The adversary has been very successful in deceiving church leaders from sharing the prophecies of the end times for whatever reason. Perhaps some are doing this unintendedly, and others, I believe have other motives for keeping this information guarded…”The less people know, the easier they are to be deceived.”
I wish you my best, as you too study these prophecies for yourself. There has never been a better time to understand the scriptures that right now. Technology makes it very simple to see all of the scriptures that pertain to a certain bible topic.
