Four End-Times Prophecies That Could Shake the World Before the Final Seven Years – Happening Right Now (KJV)

July 8, 2026 | www.gospelofjesuschrist.blog | River Wilde

“Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”Amos 3:7 (KJV)

For thousands of years, God has revealed future events through His prophets. I am so very grateful for all of the information that these prophecies entail. I’m again thankful that God has a desire for us to know all of the details regarding the end times.

While many Bible prophecies have already been fulfilled with remarkable precision, several major prophecies concerning the Middle East still appear to await fulfillment. Although Scripture does not tell us the exact order in which these events will occur, many who study bible prophecy believe the following four events could unfold in close succession, setting the stage for Daniel’s final seven years.

Let’s take a look at all four of these prophecies and try to learn how they may fit together.

1. The Breaking of the Bow of Elam

Jeremiah 49:34–39 (KJV)

The first prophecy concerns Elam, an ancient kingdom located in what is now southwestern Iran.

“Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.”Jeremiah 49:35 (KJV)

In Scripture, the bow represents military power and strength. God declares that He Himself will break the bow of Elam, bringing judgment upon the nation and scattering its people among the nations.

The phrase “the chief of their might” suggests that the bow represents Elam’s primary military strength. In Jeremiah’s day, the bow was one of Elam’s most renowned weapons. Historically, the Elamites were famous archers.

It is possible that since this prophecy is fulfilled in modern times, then the “bow” could symbolize whatever constitutes Iran’s greatest military power today, rather than a literal wooden bow. That has led to several interpretations:

  • Nuclear weapons or nuclear capability (a common modern interpretation because of Iran’s nuclear program).
  • Ballistic missile forces, which are one of Iran’s most significant military assets.
  • Military power in general, without specifying a particular weapon.
  • A literal reference to military defeat, without symbolic meaning.

The strongest argument for the nuclear interpretation is the wording:

“…the chief of their might.”

Many would ask, “What is the chief of Iran’s military strength today?” If one believes it is its nuclear program or its ability to develop nuclear weapons, then the prophecy could be understood in that light.

It is quite possible that when the United States destroyed Iran’s Nuclear capabilities on June 21, 2025, this was the fulfillment of this prophecy.

2. Damascus Becomes a Ruinous Heap

Isaiah 17:1 (KJV)

Next comes one of the most startling prophecies in the Bible.

“Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.”Isaiah 17:1 (KJV)

Damascus is widely recognized as one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Despite countless wars throughout history, it has never ceased to exist as a city.

Isaiah foretells a day when that will change.

The prophecy continues by describing devastation throughout the region while also reminding Israel that the only true security is found in the Lord.

This is something to keep an eye on. Bible prophecy does not state who will destroy Damaskas, however, that is irrelevant. Prophecy watchers are expecting this devastation to happen fairly soon. Whether this destruction occurs suddenly through war or by another means, only God knows. What we do know is that God’s Word has never failed.

3. The Gog and Magog Invasion

Ezekiel 38–39 (KJV)

Following these regional judgments, many who study end times prophecy believe another dramatic event could unfold.

A vast coalition of nations, led by Gog, comes against Israel. Among the invading nations is Persia—the modern nation of Iran.

Countries identified in this coalition attacking Israel will include:

  • Iran (Persia)
  • Turkey (Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, Beth-togarmah)
  • Libya (Put)
  • Sudan and/or Ethiopia (Cush)
  • A leader from the far north, with some identifying this as Russia (through Gog/Magog), while others disagree with that identification.

All of these countries attack Israel in unison. It will look that Israel will be overpowered. The situation appears hopeless.

Then… and this is the important part of this prophecyGod intervenes. Earthquakes shake the land. Confusion fills the invading armies, for they are being attacked not from Israel yet something divine. They even will start fighting one another due to this confusion.

Fire, hailstones, and brimstone fall from heaven.

Without Israel winning the battle by military strength, God destroys the invading forces so that the entire world will know who accomplished the victory.

“Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.”Ezekiel 38:23 (KJV)

Remarkable, and VERY Telling. Yet learning more about this gives us a time stamp as to where this will occur in the end times prophecy timeline. Let’s go there now.

9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:

10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.

11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.

12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.

Did you catch the clue? Their weapons will burn for SEVEN years. We know that once the Tribulation Period begins, there are only 7 years left before the earth is destroyed. This places the Gog and Magog war at the very start of the Tribulation period

The bow of Ilam has been broken. Damaskas will soon be destroyed, as well as the Gog and Magog war starting.

We could be right in the midst of Iran putting together their coalition to attack Israel. Can you see this?

It is my belief that these three prophecies will result in the antichrist trying to establish peace, by signing the 7 year peace agreement regarding Israel and neighboring countries.

4. The Peace Covenant That Begins the Final Seven Years

Daniel 9:27 (KJV)

After all of these years of conflict, the world will desperately long for peace.

It is then that a powerful world leader emerges.

Daniel writes:

“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week…”Daniel 9:27 (KJV)

In prophetic language, “one week” represents seven years.

Many believe this covenant marks the official beginning of the Tribulation—the final seven years before Jesus Christ returns to establish His kingdom.

For a brief time, the agreement appears to bring peace. But halfway through those seven years, everything changes.

The same ruler breaks the covenant, stops the sacrifices, and commits the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel and later confirmed by Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:15 KJV).

The worst period in human history follows. Gods 7 Bowls of Wrath being poured out on to all of the inhabitants of the earth.

We can see, right before our eyes these prophecies developing as well as being fulfilled. But there is one more prophecy that may interest you more than all of these. What would that be… The RAPTURE.

The doctrine of the rapture is the teaching that Jesus Christ will come to gather His believers to Himself before His visible return to earth. While the word “rapture” does not appear in the KJV, the event is clearly described in Scripture. The English word comes from the Latin rapiemur (“caught up”), translating the Greek word harpazō, meaning to seize, snatch away, or catch up.

The Primary Rapture Passage

1 Thessalonians 4:16–18 (KJV)

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

Notice several important truths:

  • Jesus Himself descends from heaven.
  • The dead “in Christ” are resurrected first.
  • Living believers are then caught up to meet Him.
  • Believers meet Christ in the air, not on the earth.
  • From that moment, believers are forever with the Lord.

The Change Happens Instantly

1 Corinthians 15:51–53 (KJV)

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”

Paul calls this a mystery because it had not been revealed in the Old Testament. In an instant, believers receive glorified, immortal bodies, making it possible to live with Christ in the air.

Jesus Promised to Receive His Own

John 14:1–3 (KJV)

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father’s house are many mansions… I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

Jesus promised not merely to return someday, but to receive His followers to Himself. He will do this at the rapture event.

Believers Are Delivered from God’s Wrath

Many Christians who hold a pre-tribulation view point to passages such as:

1 Thessalonians 5:9 (KJV)

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”

and

Revelation 3:10 (KJV)

“Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”

These verses are part of the biblical case many make that the Church (those in Christ) will be kept from the period of God’s end-times judgment.

More Evidence detailing the timing of the rapturein relation to the 7-year Tribulation Period.

2 Thessalonians 2:6–8 (KJV)

“And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.”

The word “letteth” in the KJV means restrains or holds back.

The pre-tribulation interpretation

Remember, God is in charge of the final seven years on Earth…NOT the antichrist. God is restraining the antichrist from appearing on the world stage until He is ready. Before the antichrist can appear, God is planning on removing His Spirit from the Earth. Where does His Spirit reside?

The New Testament clearly teaches that under the New Covenant, God’s Spirit dwells in His people, not in a temple made with hands. Here are the key KJV passages:

Believers Are God’s Temple

1 Corinthians 3:16 (KJV)

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”

1 Corinthians 6:19 (KJV)

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”

Those followers of Christ are the ones that have His Spirit within them. God will be removing these people BEFORE He allows the antichrist to be revealed.

Many pre-tribulation teachers understand the passage this way:

  • The Holy Spirit is currently restraining the full manifestation of evil through His work in the Church.
  • Before the Antichrist is revealed, the Restrainer is “taken out of the way.”
  • The Church is caught up to be with Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:16–18).
  • Then the Antichrist is revealed.

An important distinction

Many who hold this view do not believe the Holy Spirit completely leaves the earth. Since God is omnipresent (Psalm 139:7–10), the Holy Spirit cannot cease to be everywhere.

Instead, they understand the passage to mean that the Holy Spirit’s restraining ministry through the Church is removed. After that, the Antichrist can be revealed.

This fits with the fact that people are still saved during the Tribulation:

  • The 144,000 are sealed (Revelation 7).
  • A great multitude comes to faith out of the Tribulation (Revelation 7:9–14).

Since no one can be born again apart from the Holy Spirit (John 3:5–8), the Spirit must still be at work in bringing people to faith during that time.

Who Will Be Caught Up in the Rapture?

Would you like to know if you will be one of those lifted up by Jesus Christ? You can know this 100% right now. Here’s how:

The Bible describes those who belong to Christ. Belonging to a certain church or religion has NOTHING to do with who is raptured. It has EVERYTHING to do with a person’s personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The New Testament teaches what a person must do to be saved. Jesus taught the concept of Being Born Again.

Remember Nicodemus in the bible? Let me tell you a bit about him, and why he was in “spiritual trouble.”

Nicodemus is one of the clearest examples in Scripture that being deeply religious is not the same as being born again.

The Gospel of John introduces him this way:

John 3:1–2 (KJV)

“There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.”

From these verses, we learn that Nicodemus was:

  • A Pharisee—a member of the strictest religious group in Israel, devoted to keeping the Law of Moses and many additional traditions.
  • A ruler of the Jews—likely a member of the Sanhedrin, the Jewish ruling council.
  • Highly respected—a teacher and leader whom others looked to for spiritual guidance.
  • Sincerehe recognized that Jesus had come from God because of the miracles He performed.

Despite all of that “religious resume”, Jesus immediately told him:

John 3:3 (KJV)

“Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Jesus did not tell Nicodemus to become a better Pharisee. He did not tell him to perform more religious duties. He told one of the most religious men in Israel that he still needed something he did not yet have—a new birth from God.

Jesus told him that He needed to be Born Again.

Being born again is not optional. Jesus said it is required to enter God’s kingdom.

Jesus Explained That It Is a Spiritual Birth

Nicodemus thought Jesus was speaking about a second physical birth.

John 3:5–6 (KJV)

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

Jesus distinguished between two births:

  • Physical birth (“flesh”)
  • Spiritual birth (“Spirit”)

The new birth is something the Holy Spirit accomplishes in a person’s heart.

Jesus Taught That the Holy Spirit Gives New Life

John 3:8 (KJV)

“The wind bloweth where it listeth… so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”

Just as we cannot see the wind but can see its effects, we cannot see the Holy Spirit perform the new birth, but we can see the transformed life that follows.

Jesus Revealed How a Person Receives This New Birth

The answer comes later in the same conversation.

John 3:14–15 (KJV)

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

Jesus referred to Numbers 21, where poisonous serpents bit the Israelites. God instructed Moses to lift up a bronze serpent on a pole.

Whoever looked at it in faith lived.

They were not healed by:

  • good works,
  • religious ceremonies,
  • keeping more laws,
  • or earning God’s favor.

They simply believed God’s promise and looked.

Jesus said He would likewise be lifted up on the cross, and everyone who believes in Him will receive eternal life.

Jesus Summarized It

Immediately after this comes the best-known verse in the Bible:

John 3:16 (KJV)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

And Jesus continued:

John 3:18 (KJV)

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already…”

What did Jesus tell Nicodemus to do?

Notice what Jesus did not tell him.

He did not say:

  • Join a church.
  • Become a Pharisee.
  • Perform religious ordinances.
  • Keep additional commandments.
  • Earn eternal life through good works.

Instead, Jesus taught that a person must:

  1. Recognize that they are a sinner and need for a new spiritual birth.
  2. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God who would be sacrificed for their salvation.
  3. Trust in Him for eternal life.
  4. Receive the new birth that the Holy Spirit gives.

This agrees with the rest of the New Testament. Many people think that they earn their way into heaven through good works, or religious performance. Not so.

Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV)

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Nicodemus came to Jesus as one of the most religious men in Israel. Jesus pointed him away from his religious credentials and toward a personal, saving faith in Himself. The new birth is God’s work in the heart of the one who believes in Christ.

Nicodemus’ story teaches a timeless lesson:

Religion cannot save. Position cannot save. Knowledge cannot save. Even being a respected religious leader cannot save. Jesus said, “Ye must be born again.”

That is why Nicodemus is such a powerful example. If one of the most devout and respected religious leaders in Israel needed to be born again, then every one of us does as well. Salvation comes not through religious status or human effort, but through faith in Jesus Christ and the new birth that He gives by His Spirit.

When a person recognizes that they are a sinner, in prayer, they accept the atonement of Jesus Christ, for it is not just freely given to all mankind due to our free agency. We must choose to accept this. We then ask to receive Him:

John 1:12 (KJV)

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”

Then we must have faith in His atonement, as all that is necessary for our salvation.

A person is born again when they place their faith in Jesus Christ and His finished atoning work—believing that His death on the cross fully paid for their sins, that He was buried, and that He rose again. The moment they trust in Him rather than in their own goodness or religious works, God forgives their sins, gives them eternal life, and they are born again by the Holy Spirit.

If you believe that it is through your own good works, or because of your religion that you will be saved, you are NOT YET BORN AGAIN. You MUST place all of your faith in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It is a gift, and something not earned. We must trust in Him, and what He has done for us.

To be born again is not to combine Christ’s atonement with our own good works or religious ordinances, as though His sacrifice were incomplete. Christ’s atonement IS ENOUGH!!

The apostles likewise taught that salvation is received “through faith in his blood” (Romans 3:25 KJV), “by grace… through faith… not of works” (Ephesians 2:8–9 KJV), and “not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us” (Titus 3:5 KJV).

Good works are the fruit of a new life in Christ, not the cause of it. When we attempt to add our own works or religious ceremonies as a requirement for salvation, we shift our trust away from the sufficiency of Christ’s finished work on the cross. The new birth comes when a sinner places his complete faith in Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice, and the Holy Spirit gives him new life.

So, what can you do now, if your religion has taught you WRONG?

I realized four years ago in my spiritual journey that any WRONG teaching was insignificant, for it does me no good. I wanted to know what was TRUE. I set out on a new journey to find the Truth. Just me, God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

I knew that Jesus was actually on the earth, and taught His gospel… The Gospel of Jesus Christ. I would study ONLY that, and leave all religious interpretation out of His gospel.

I confirmed this boundary by reading this scripture:

Galatians 1:8–9 (KJV)

8 “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”

9 “As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

This is one of the strongest warnings in the New Testament. Paul declares that the gospel of Jesus Christ is unchangeable. Neither an apostle (“we”), nor an angel from heaven, nor any other person has the authority to alter, add to, or replace the gospel that Christ and His apostles preached. If anyone proclaims a different gospel, Paul says, “let him be accursed.” The standard is not the messenger, but whether the message agrees with the gospel already revealed in Scripture.

I then came to realize through additional study what it meant to be Born Again, and to be “in Christ.” This is what is important and necessary to be included in the rapture, as well as to make it into heaven. It again has NOTHING to do with a person’s church or religion. When we all pass into the next life, there will be NO RELIGION. We will honor and serve Jesus Christ only.

So, if you are putting tremendous effort into your church, you are on a distracted path. Starting today, put all of your effort into your relationship with Jesus Christ, for this is what matters. Realize that it is only through Him that you will be saved. Have faith in His atonement as being ENOUGH, COMPLETE! Jesus Christ deserves all of that credit for what He has done for us…Not your church, not yourself, or not a religious ordinance…Just Him.

I can promise you that their will be religious people, just like Nicodemus, that will miss the rapture, and have to endure the 7 year tribulation period. During this time, they will have another opportunity to come to Christ…to be Born Again, yet it will certainly be the hard way.

Get after it today. Go to God right now and ask Him for guidance, and then go to the New Testament and study more about being Born Again, and being In Christ. It is not complicated, rather, it is total trust in the atonement of Jesus Christ.

I hope that this has helped you prepare for what is about to happen. Thew end times prophecies are interesting indeed. To me they just remind me how close we are to going home. But, more important that these prophecies is your preparation in making certain that you are Born Again, so that you will be rescued from the 7-year tribulation period.

God’s speed.
