And, I’m not sure you are aware, but there is a time when the antichrist will command that you take his mark, the mark of the beast, or you will be killed. Those who take the mark will be pledging allegiance to satan, and will lose their souls forever. That might be something that is Kind-of Important to check out, I would think?

Today, we are not going to get into any of those details, mainly because they will horrify you. What I am going to present is the very most important thing that a person can know about the end times. If you will learn and do this one thing, God has a rescue plan to remove you from all of the events of the final seven years.

Here is that ONE Important Thing

Make Certain that Jesus Christ Knows You! What does that mean? You might say, “Yes, I know Jesus Christ. Is that what you mean?” Not at all. Does HE know YOU? Let me show you the danger here through this scripture:

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?”

“And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
— Matthew 7:21–23 (KJV)

It is not enough to know Jesus Christ, as stated in this scripture. Jesus Christ must know us. Now, how does this happen? Let’s walk through this teaching slowly, so that you can easily understand, for it is again, the most important thing that you must know to prepare for what is coming.

According to the King James Version, being known by Jesus Christ is not about belonging to a particular church, performing religious rituals, or accumulating good works. It is about coming to Him in faith, receiving the new spiritual birth, and abiding in Him.

Here are the key teachings:

1. Believe on Jesus Christ

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 (KJV)

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved...”
Acts 16:31 (KJV)

Many of you have studied and learned about Jesus Christ, which is very important. But as both of these scriptures state, do you BELIEVE in Jesus Christ? Do you believe that He died for your sins, and that you can be forgiven of your sins when you repent? Do YOU BELIEVE???

Alright, are you with me so far? Awesome! Let’s keep going.

2. Be Born Again

Jesus said this is essential.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
John 3:3 (KJV)

“…Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
John 3:5 (KJV)

Ok…Don’t let this one confuse you, for I’m certain that you have heard the phrase, “Born Again.” Let me describe this spiritual rebirth so that it makes sense to you.

A person is born again when they realize that they are a sinner, recognize that they need Jesus Christ in their life, and accept His atonement, and repent to be forgiven of their sins.

You see, Jesus Christ suffered and died for all mankind, but realizes that we have our own free agency. We must CHOOSE to accept His atonement into our life. This is done with God in our personal prayers.

At that moment, God forgives their sins, gives them eternal life as a free gift, makes them a child of God, and places His Holy Spirit within them. They are no longer condemned but are made a new creature “in Christ”, beginning a personal relationship with the Savior who knows them and will never leave them. This can be done right now, if you have not experienced this spiritual rebirth. (Remember “in Christ” as we will discuss this again in a moment.)

A person knows that they have been Born Again because the desire to sin decreases, and the desire to help and serve others increases. Good works are the fruit of Salvation, Not the Root of it. Let’s continue…

3. Receive Him

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
John 1:12 (KJV)

To receive Jesus Christ means to welcome Him by faith as your personal Lord and Savior, trusting that His death and resurrection are completely sufficient to save you. It is a heartfelt decision to believe in Him, rely on Him instead of your own goodness or religious works, and begin a personal relationship with Him.

Let me show you how satan tries to deceive us, and take some of the glory away from Jesus Christ. Everything that I have written shows you that the atonement is a gift from Jesus Christ, and it is received by us having faith in Him alone.

Satan wants us to think that our salvation (living with Jesus Christ forever in heaven) also requires our Good Works, and even additional religious ordinances, NOT just the atonement itself. Scripture teaches us the truth about this.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”
“Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV)

Are you seeing this clearer now? Our good works do not save us. Our church does not save us. It is ONLY Through Jesus Christ that we are saved. This is IMPORTANT! If you do not have faith in Jesus Christ’s atonement as the only thing that is saving us, you are notin Christ” and He does not know you.

Yes, your good works are evidence that you have been born again, but they are NOT what gets you into heaven. It is only by having faith in the atonement as being the sole reason that you are going to heaven…This is what you must believe, and have faith in.

4. Abide in Him

Jesus described an ongoing relationship, not merely an outward profession.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”
John 15:4 (KJV)

“I am the vine, ye are the branches… for without me ye can do nothing.”
John 15:5 (KJV)

In my personal life, I had realized that all good things have come to me from God…And as arrogant as I have been in my life, I’ve finally come to realize that I can do nothing without God. Even the talents that I have come from God.

5. Love Him by Keeping His Words

Obedience does not earn salvation, but it is evidence of love for Christ.

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
John 14:15 (KJV)

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me…”
John 14:21 (KJV)

Again, in my personal life, I do not sin just because it’s a commandment, or a church says not to. I don’t sin because I want Christ to be near me, and it is a way for me to show my love for Him. He did for me, I can sacrifice “sinful desire” for Him.

6. Confess Him

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:9 (KJV)

The Result

Those who trust Christ become His sheep, and He knows them personally.

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:”
John 10:27 (KJV)

This helps explain Jesus’ warning in Matthew 7:

“And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
Matthew 7:23 (KJV)

They knew about Jesus and even did works in His name, but they had never entered into the saving relationship with Him that comes through faith and being born again.

In summary, according to the KJV, a person is known by Jesus Christ by believing in Him, being born again by the Spirit, receiving Him, abiding in Him, and following Him as one of His sheep. Good works are the fruit of that relationship, not the means by which it is established.

Alright…Why is being “in Christ” so important?

In the next few days/weeks God will be rapturing those who are “in Christ.” Let me share the scripture teaching with you:

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:”

“Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

“Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
— 1 Thessalonians 4:16–18 (KJV)

Before the 7 year Tribulation Period begins, God’s plan is to rapture all of those who are “in Christ.” Those “Born Again” These are the people that belong to Christ, and the ones that He is planning on rescuing.

Can you see why making sure that you are Born Again is the very most important part of the end times. If you are, you will be raptured and removed from the earth, not needing to worry about any of the terrible things that God has planned for the final 7 years.

As a further “blessing” have you noticed that being born again is the qualification to go to Heaven when you die? Yes, this life is really that simple. Inviting Jesus Christ into your life and accepting His atonement, receiving the Holy Spirit, and repenting for your sins, then living a life that keeps Christ close to you will get you raptured, as well as get you into heaven.

Your part is that you must sincerely believe, and have faith in what He has taught.

Some of you reading this will need to be “reprogramed” as we have all been taught that going to heaven happens based upon our good works, paying tithing, going to church, participating in temple ceremonies, and on and on. The true teachings of Jesus Christ is simple… We are to be “Born Again” which is a spiritual rebirth, which comes from accepting Jesus Christ into our lives and having faith in His gift, the atonement, which is offered in grace, and all that is necessary for salvation.

Now for you to make this happen, I invite you to say a prayer to God that He might help you with this process. Then accept Jesus Christ into your life and accept His atonement, for it is up to YOU to invite Him into your life.
