(The views expressed here are my personal beliefs, they are not to be considered being presented as statements of fact, rather, they are my own beliefs, shaped by extensive study of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Bible. I have prayerfully sought God’s guidance throughout my research to remain focused on truth. I do not speak on behalf of any religious organization.)
I’ve seen in yesterday’s news that the church was influential in changing the status of the church back to a Christian classification. But for you, the reader, I would like you to further understand why I have come to know that the church does not teach the same gospel that Jesus Christ, as what Christtaught when He was on the earth.
A declaration was made by the apostles in the Bible in Part One of my writing yesterday.
Galatians 1:8–9 (KJV)
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
This is one of the strongest warnings in Scripture. Paul teaches that the gospel of Jesus Christ does not change. Even if a respected religious leader, a preacher, an apostle, or an angel from heaven were to bring a different message of salvation than the one already delivered through Christ and His apostles, that message is to be rejected.
Paul repeats the warning twice for emphasis, declaring that anyone who preaches “another gospel” is under God’s judgment. The passage underscores that salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and that the true gospel must not be altered, added to, or replaced.
This again gives us a STANDARD of content to test if other church doctrine is false or true. Is it consistent with what Christ taught as His gospel, when He was on the earth?
Using this as a guide, you can see that the following Mormon teachings are NOT consistent with Christ’s teachings, and must be discarded as Untruths.
| Topic | New Testament Teaching | LDS Teaching |
| Authority of Scripture | The gospel delivered by Christ and the apostles is complete and not to be changed (Gal. 1:8–9; Jude 3). | Additional scripture was given through Joseph Smith (Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants, Pearl of Great Price). |
| Salvation | Salvation is by grace through faith, not by works (Eph. 2:8–9; Titus 3:5; Rom. 4:5). | Grace is essential, but obedience to ordinances and covenants is also emphasized as necessary for exaltation. |
| Born Again | New birth comes through faith in Christ and the Holy Spirit (John 3:3–7; 1 Pet. 1:23). | Includes faith, repentance, baptism, confirmation, and continued covenant faithfulness. |
| God the Father | One eternal God (John 4:24; 1 Tim. 1:17). | The Father has a glorified physical body and was once as man now is. |
| Nature of God | One God existing eternally (John 1:1; Isa. 43:10; 44:6). | Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are three separate divine beings united in purpose. |
| Pre-Existence | The New Testament teaches Christ’s pre-existence but does not teach that all humans existed as spirit children before birth. | All people existed as spirit children of Heavenly Father before coming to earth. |
| Temples | Believers are God’s temple; Christ fulfilled the temple system (1 Cor. 3:16; Matt. 27:51; Heb. 10:10–14). | Modern temples are essential for certain ordinances and eternal family sealings. |
| Priesthood | Christ is the eternal High Priest; all believers are a royal priesthood (Heb. 7; 1 Pet. 2:9). | Priesthood authority was restored through angelic messengers and is conferred by ordination. |
| Baptism for the Dead | Mentioned once in 1 Cor. 15:29 without instruction to practice it. | An ongoing temple ordinance performed for deceased individuals. |
| Eternal Life | Eternal life is received through faith in Christ (John 3:16; 5:24). | Exaltation involves temple covenants and enduring faithfully to the end. |
This list should be convincing enough, but there is certainly more…
| Topic | New Testament Teaching | LDS Teaching |
| Exaltation / Becoming Like God | Believers are glorified and inherit with Christ but remain created beings (Rom. 8:17; Rev. 22:3–5). | Faithful members may attain exaltation and become like Heavenly Father. |
| God Was Once a Man | God is eternal and unchanging (Ps. 90:2; Mal. 3:6; 1 Tim. 1:17). | Joseph Smith taught that God the Father progressed to godhood. |
| Many Gods | “There is none other God but one” (1 Cor. 8:4; Isa. 44:6). | LDS teachings acknowledge the existence of other divine beings and exalted beings. |
| Jesus and Lucifer | Jesus is the eternal Creator; Satan is a created angelic being (John 1:1–3; Col. 1:16). | LDS teaching holds that both were spirit sons of Heavenly Father before mortality, though Jesus is supreme. |
| Temple Endowment | No New Testament instruction regarding temple endowment ceremonies. | Temple endowment is a central ordinance. |
| Eternal Marriage | Jesus taught that marriage does not continue in heaven (Matt. 22:30). | Eternal marriage is necessary for the highest degree of exaltation. |
| Church Leadership | Apostles and prophets served foundational roles in the early church (Eph. 2:20). | Living prophets and apostles continue to receive revelation for the church. |
| The Fall of Adam | The Fall brought sin and death into the world (Rom. 5:12). | The Fall is often viewed as a necessary step in God’s plan, bringing mortality and progression. |
| Degrees of Glory | New Testament generally describes heaven and hell, with rewards varying among believers (Matt. 25:46; John 14:2). | Three primary kingdoms of glory (Celestial, Terrestrial, Telestial). |
| Pre-Mortal Council | Not explicitly taught in the New Testament. | A pre-earth life council where spirits chose God’s plan. |
| Heavenly Mother | Not taught in the New Testament. | Referenced in LDS teachings as the mother of spirits. |
| Continuing Revelation | Christians generally see Scripture as the completed standard of doctrine (Jude 3). | Church leaders may receive additional revelation. |
And to me, ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS doctrines that is taught by the church:
LDS Teaching
N. Eldon Tanner — Ensign, August 1979
“When the prophet speaks the debate is over.”
Ezra Taft Benson — Official Declaration 1, introductory statement
“The prophet will never lead the Church astray.”
The practical LDS position is generally: if a personal spiritual impression conflicts with the teachings of the living prophet, the member should assume the impression was not from God and follow the prophet’s counsel. While that exact sentence is not found in LDS scripture, it reflects the principle taught by numerous LDS leaders regarding prophetic authority and stewardship.
Essentially…Trust a man over your own personal revelation from God. Let me once again identify the DANGER of this statement – Trust a man over your own personal revelation from God.
Now, let’s compare this to what Jesus Christ taught in His Gospel?
Acts 5:29 (KJV)
“We ought to obey God rather than men.”
Many of you reading this have a relationship with the church, but do you have a relationship directly with God? I can clearly state that if you do have this direct relationship with God, this teaching is crystal clear, and that you will always follow your own personal revelation from Him, over ANYTHNG that a church leader would tell you… even a “prophet.”
Following a “prophet” in spite of a different personal revelation is NOT showing obedience. It is not demonstrating Blind Faith. It does not mean that your faith or connection with God is weak. It is simply false doctrine, and not what Jesus Christ taught.
AND I BELIEVE… that some of you who do not get raptured away, and are left to experience the Tribulation period are going to see first-hand, the danger in following a “prophet” over following God. You have NO IDEA what you are about to experience, which leads to my next thought.
“My Prophet Would Never Deceive Me!” – HE ALREADY HAS!!!!!
Please, for a moment, try to break free of the deceptive control that the church might have over you to consider something very telling.
Amos 3:7 (KJV)
“Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”
This verse teaches that God reveals His plans and purposes to His prophets, before carrying out significant acts of judgment or major events.
God has a very detailed plan for the final 7 year period on earth. Rather than leaving humanity unaware, God has already revealed these things in Scripture so that those who seek Him can watch, understand the season, and prepare their hearts.
There is so much detail regarding this period of time, that it actually incorporates about a third of the Bible. GOD WANTS US TO KNOW WHAT’S COMING. And in keeping His promise, He has revealed ALL OF THE DETAILS of the end-times to His prophets, which they have recorded in the Bible.
What is coming is SIGNIFICANT, and God does not want His followers unaware of what He plans to do. That’s why He revealed all of the details. THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO, so that you and I, and all who would study these writings, would know and be prepared for.
The fact that the Mormon “prophet” has not taught all of these details to church members is very evident to me, that he is deceiving them. Why would he not be teaching EACH and EVERY detail of these upcoming 7 years? Let me share MY CONCLUSION of why by stating, “The less a person knows, the easier they are to be deceived.”
To me, there is no other logical reason for him to keep the prrophacies of the end times a secret. Let’s explore some reasons that you might be thinking, so that I can further explain.
“It must be too frightening to share.” When you study the Tribulation period, it is indeed frightening. But you know what isn’t frightening at all? God’s plan to keep His followers away from each and every moment of those 7 years. Certainly, he would at least teach about the Rapture.
“It’s just not true.” Seriously…One third of the Bible is dedicated to the explanation of these final 7 years, and have been recorded by prophets of God, and they are not true writings? Do you really believe this is the case? They are so very true, and something that God want’s you to know about.
“The church knows about the rapture happening before the 7-year Tribulation period and feels that all members will be taken up in this process, so there is no reason to teach any further details of the Tribulation Period.
This explanation is just as wrong as the others. All church members will NOT be included in the rapture, for the qualifications have nothing to do with church membership. Do you know what the requirement is to be included in the rapture? EXACTLY! Don’t you think that a prophet of God would be teaching what it means to be “in Christ,” to prepare members for the rapture?
“It is not time yet for us to be taught about the end times.” Not time??? You realize that these prophecies were given by God to His prophets thousands of years ago, so that we all would know what God’s plans were. THERE has NEVER been a more urgent time for a “prophet of God” to be teaching all of these details more so than RIGHT NOW. This tribulation period that has been prophesied will begin in 2026 or early 2027, don’t you think that a prophet would be devoting every second while in front of a microphone preparing members for what is about to happen?
“The “End-Times” doctrine doesn’t apply to the members of the church.” This sense of privilege is what will get many members deceived. The church is not the “Only true church” as they declare. The church is filled with deceptions and doctrine that deviates from the Gospel of Jesus Christ as He taught while He was on the earth.
Because the Mormon “prophet” has kept this information from you is evidence, in my opinion, that he has already deceived you, and ME. Please prayerfully ask God if this in not the case, for He will tell you the truth.
Because it wasn’t being taught, I grabbed my bible, and included God in prayer, and began to study these prophecies on my own…”full time” for three years! And what I can tell you is that the more you study about the end times, the more peace you uncover.
I invite all of you to study the most comforting teaching of the final 7 years. In fact, if you only study ONE end times revelation, PLEASE study this one, and better yet, be certain that you will be included in this event. Let me explain:
Gods purpose for the final 7 years is to “punish evil, as well as give people one more chance to come to Christ. He will do both of these things by creating such a difficult period of time on earth for all, called the Tribulation Period.
“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
— Matthew 24:21 (KJV)
Thinking logically for a moment, this period of time is NOT for those who are “in Christ.” People who have already come to Christ and have become Born Again, as taught in the New Testament. These people have already come to Christ, and have no reason to be PUNISHED, (all of their sins have been forgiven through the atonement of Jesus Christ.)
So, God’s plan is to REMOVE them from the Earth PRIOR to the 7-year Tribulation Period begins. Let’s learn about how He will do this right now:
The rapture refers to the moment when Jesus Christ comes for His followers, the dead in Christ are resurrected, and living believers are caught up to meet Him in the air.
The Primary Rapture Passage
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:”
“Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
— 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 (KJV)
Believers Will Be Changed
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,”
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.“
— 1 Corinthians 15:51–52 (KJV)
Jesus Promised to Receive His Own
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
— John 14:3 (KJV)
The Church Is Not Appointed to God’s Wrath
“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:9 (KJV)
It Will Be Sudden
“For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:2 (KJV)
Believers Are Told to Watch
“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
— Luke 21:28 (KJV)
In summary, the KJV teaches that Jesus Christ will come, the dead in Christ will be raised, living believers will be instantly changed, and together they will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. This event is presented as a source of hope, comfort, and expectation for those who are “in Christ.”
And something very reassuring about this teaching is that the initial scripture that I shared with you concludes by stating:
The Rapture Brings Comfort
“Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
— 1 Thessalonians 4:18 (KJV)
Understanding that I will be rescued through God’s plan of the rapture is VERY Comforting to me. Why wouldn’t ANY religious leader be teaching this principle? It is nothing terrifying, yet entirely comforting, and certainly nothing that should be hidden from a church leader.
Now, I have pointed out what is Not true about the church, however, untruths have no significance to me. I don’t care to learn the untruths, rather, I want to know the TRUTHS!!! Time is VERY LIMITED right now, for we are very near the rapture happening.
To all of my “brothers and sisters,” spend every free moment studying the teachings of being born again. You MUST believe, and have faith, that the atonement of Jesus Christ is all that is necessary for your salvation… NOT your good works, or any religious ritual or ordinance. It is all complete with what Jesus Christ did Himself, and a gift that He is offering you to receive.
Learn how to receive His gift by experiencing a spiritual rebirth, or being born again as taught in the New Testament. It is not to be baptized. That is not the correct teaching of being born again. A person is Born again PRIOR to becoming baptized! Study this for yourself, and please do it today.
Now if you have already been through this spiritual rebirth, the pressure is off. Know that you will be included in the rapture, even if you have no idea regarding the teachings of the event. Believing or knowing about the rapture is not a prerequisite to being included. Being “in Christ” as the scripture indicates, is the qualifier to be taken.
As a born-again believer, also know that you will be included in the Judgment Seat of Christ, and will be rewarded for those good works which you have done. Realize that you will then be with Christ, again as the scripture indicates, forever… which includes being in heaven where He is.
Yes, you will come to realize that you have been deceived by a church that you once fully trusted. This realization is difficult, as I have experienced first hand as well, but I’ve let that go. The true teachings of Jesus Christ are freeing, and more important than focusing upon the deception that I have had to realize.
I KNOW that I will be going to Heaven. How freeing is that? No more questioning where I will end up, or if I have done enough, or repented right. There is no more worry, and incredible “power” in my life of knowing for certain that I will be living with Jesus Christ in heaven.
I also know that I will be boarding the “ark” so to say, and will be rescued from the flood, just like Noah and his family were rescued by God. I can watch the events happening in the world with absolutely no fear. I know what is coming because of studying the end times prophecies. I know why these events are coming, and I also know that I will not be a part of these tragedies, due to the rescue rapture that God has planned.
Let me conclude with this final thought. There is only one truth. It does not matter what I believe, nor does it matter what you believe. Our belief’s have NO influence on changing the truth, even if you believe something with all of your heart.
There is no Mormon heaven, nor is there a Jewish heaven. There is only one heaven, and one gospel. And that one truth is what Jesus and His apostles taught while they were on the earth. This is the truth that you should believe, for it is what will actually happen.
Satan, through his deceptive strategy has infiltrated some “Christian” churches and injected some very false doctrine, of which we actually have been warned against in this following teaching:
Matthew 24:24 (KJV)
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
Mark 13:22 (KJV)
“For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
And a teaching that should command your full attention:
Matthew 7:21–23 (KJV):
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
I invite you to take back your spiritual learning, and stop trusting someone else to tell you what to do or believe. Study the BIBLE only, and take the gospel findings to God in prayer, so that you might know the truths regarding His teachings. This is how you will know for sure…do not trust anyone else, even me. Take all of these teachings to God so that you might understand what is true.
The people who are in the greatest danger are the ones who do not realize that they are!
I hope to see all of you in the clouds very soon. Study how to ensure that you will be included, and then do as Christ has instructed us to do. Then… Look UP!!! =)
