Is This End Times Prophecy Fulfilled? The Gospel of Jesus Christ will be Preached to All Nations – Let’s Consider the Facts in Answering That Question. (KJV)

One of the most remarkable prophecies Jesus gave about the end times is found in the King James Version in Matthew 24:14:

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

Think about what Jesus was saying. Before the final events of the end times unfold, the Gospel of Jesus Christ as He taught while upon the earth, and recorded in the Bible, would reach every nation on earth. The word translated as “nations” in the Bible does not simply mean political countries. It refers to people groups, languages, and cultures. In other words, the gospel would become available to every tribe, tongue, and people across the planet.

For most of human history, this prophecy would have seemed impossible. Vast regions of the world were isolated. Travel was slow and dangerous. Many languages had no written form, and entire populations lived beyond the reach of missionaries. Yet Jesus declared with certainty that the gospel would still reach them.

Today, something astonishing is happening. Through Bible translation, global communication, missionaries, radio, satellites, and the internet, the message of Christ is spreading farther and faster than at any time in history. Portions of the Bible now exist in thousands of languages, and in many parts of the world people can hear the message of Jesus with nothing more than a phone or a radio signal.

Each week on this Gospel of Jesus Christ Blog, I see readers click in from Hong Kong SAR China, India and Nigeria, places that did not, and still do not allow Christian teachings.

This global witness was also seen in a vision given in the book of Revelation. The apostle John wrote:

“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people.” Revelation 14:6

Think about the power of that image. God will make absolutely certain that the gospel is proclaimed to the entire world. No nation will be able to say they never had a witness. The message of Christ will reach every corner of the earth.

This does not necessarily mean every individual person will listen or accept the message. But it does mean that the world will have an opportunity to hear. Before the final judgments unfold, God ensures that humanity receives a clear and undeniable witness of the gospel.

In other words, before the end comes, the world will have been told.

And right now, in our generation, we are watching that prophecy being fulfilled before our very eyes.

When we step back and look at the world today, it becomes difficult to ignore what is now unfolding. For the first time in human history, the gospel truly has the ability to reach the entire planet. Technology has erased many of the barriers that once made this prophecy seem impossible. A message spoken in one place can now travel across continents in seconds.

For believers who study Bible prophecy, this raises an important question: If the gospel is now reaching all nations, how close are we to the moment Jesus described?

Scripture suggests that before the judgments of the tribulation fall upon the earth, God will ensure that humanity receives a final and undeniable witness. The gospel will not be hidden. It will not be limited to a small group of believers. It will be proclaimed so widely that the world cannot claim ignorance.

And remarkably, the Bible even suggests that during the 7-year tribulation itself, God will take the proclamation of the gospel into His own hands. The book of Revelation describes an angel carrying the everlasting gospel and declaring it to every nation, tribe, language, and people. Even in the darkest period of human history, God will still be reaching out, calling people to repentance and offering salvation.

This reveals something profound about the character of God. Judgment may be coming, but God always gives warning before judgment. He always provides an opportunity for people to turn to Him.

That is why the global spread of the gospel may be one of the most important prophetic signs of our time. It is not merely a missionary milestone. It is a signal that the world is being given its final witness.

The message is simple, yet eternal: salvation is not found in institutions, governments, or human systems. It is found only through Jesus Christ. And according to prophecy, before the end comes, the whole world is hearing that message.

For prophecy watchers, it is remarkable to see all of these things now falling into place, and coming to be, just as the prophets of the Bible have taught us.

  1. I totally agree with you, the scriptures do show that …”God always gives warning before judgment. He always provides an opportunity for people to turn to Him.”

You might like this article, here’s an excerpt…

“God does not reveal the future to confuse His people. Throughout Scripture, prophecy functions as preparation, warning, and comfort. When God speaks about what is coming, He does so because He wants His people to be ready, not rattled.

Amos wrote, “Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7). Jesus told His disciples, “See, I have told you beforehand” (Matthew 24:25). Later He added, “These things I have told you before they come, that when they do come to pass, you may believe” (John 14:29). Prophecy strengthens faith by removing surprise. When events unfold exactly as spoken, belief is reinforced rather than shaken.

The book of Revelation begins not with obscurity, but with blessing: “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it” (Revelation 1:3). That blessing assumes engagement and comprehension. God does not bless confusion; He blesses those who read, hear, and obey.”
