Midway through the Tribulation Period, the Antichrist will enter the new temple that has been built in Israel, and declair his true identity… “satan.” Jesus warned when this happens, “Let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains” (Matthew 24:16). Many believers today wonder: Was He speaking to the whole world—or only to those living in Israel when the antichrist defiles the temple?
The answer becomes clear the moment we read Jesus’ words carefully. He wasn’t addressing all mankind—He named a specific location: Judaea, the region surrounding Jerusalem. This is the very place where the antichrist will enter the rebuilt temple, commit the “abomination of desolation,” and trigger the greatest persecution Israel has ever faced (Matthew 24:15; Daniel 9:27; 2 Thessalonians 2:4).
Those living in Israel will see this event with their own eyes, and Jesus tells them to run—fast. But the world should still watch and prepare spiritually, because this moment marks the midpoint of the Tribulation and the rise of global tyranny.
Though this command is geographical, the comfort in the passage is universal: when God calls His people into hiding, He always provides for those who obey Him. The Bible is packed with powerful examples—stories that remind us that the same God who provided then will provide again during the end times.
God’s Pattern: When He Hides His People, He Feeds His People
Israel in the Wilderness — Manna from Heaven
When God brought Israel out of Egypt and into the wilderness, He didn’t lead them to a stocked pantry. He led them into a barren desert—on purpose. Then He fed them miraculously for 40 years.
“Then the LORD said unto Moses,
Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you…” (Exodus 16:4)
Every morning the ground was covered with fresh manna. It was so consistent, so dependable, that Scripture calls it “angels’ food” (Psalm 78:25). God even caused water to gush from solid rock when needed (Exodus 17:6).
If God can feed millions in the middle of a desert with bread that falls from the sky, He can feed His people again during the Tribulation—no matter where they are hidden.
Elijah at the Brook Cherith — Fed by Ravens
When the wicked king Ahab sought Elijah’s life, God told His prophet to hide.
“Get thee hence… and hide thyself by the brook Cherith…” (1 Kings 17:3)
And while Elijah was hidden, God fed him in a way so unexpected that it almost sounds impossible:
“And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning,
and bread and flesh in the evening.” (1 Kings 17:6)
Birds delivered the prophet’s groceries.
God knows where His people hide—and He knows how to feed them.
Elijah and the Widow — Food That Never Ran Out
Another famine struck the land, and God sent Elijah to a widow in Zarephath. She had only enough flour and oil for one final meal before starvation.
Yet Elijah said:
“Make me thereof a little cake first…” (1 Kings 17:13)
It was a test—not of Elijah, but of her faith. She obeyed, and God performed a miracle:
“The barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail…”
(1 Kings 17:16)
A tiny supply became an endless provision.
When God shelters people during crisis, scarcity becomes abundance.
Daniel in Babylon — Sustained in a Foreign Land
Daniel was taken from his home and forced to live under a pagan empire. Even in captivity, God honored his faithfulness.
Though Daniel refused the king’s rich food and wine, choosing a simple diet instead, God nourished him supernaturally:
“Their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh…”
(Daniel 1:15)
Daniel didn’t depend on the system of the antichrist of his day—God Himself sustained him.
Israel in the Future “Wilderness Place” — Nourished by God
Revelation confirms that when Israel flees to the mountains during the Tribulation, God Himself will provide food.
“And to the woman [Israel] were given two wings of a great eagle,
that she might fly into the wilderness…
where she is nourished…” (Revelation 12:14)
There it is again—nourished. Fed. Provided for.
God did it in the past. He will do it again.
So, Who Must Flee to the Mountains?
According to Jesus, “them which be in Judaea.”
Not the entire world—those living in Israel at the time of the abomination of desolation.
They will physically see the antichrist enter the temple.
They will be in immediate danger.
They must escape quickly.
But the message applies to all believers spiritually:
Be ready. Be watching. Stay faithful. Refuse deception.
For those left behind from the rapture, your God has not forgotten you.
If you find yourself left behind, I encourage you to follow the teaching of Christ which are listed above. If escape from your home is necessary, ask God where you should go. Then, wherever that is, go there. It is important that you demonstrate faith in Him, and KNOW that He will provide for you, just like He has in the examples of others as taught above.
If you give your life to Him, He will watch over you in ways that you cannot even imagine. He parted the Red Sea for those Israelites destined to be killed, He saved Daniel from the Lions den, He provided Food and Water to those whom He had hidden. Do you have the faith to see that this too could happen to you?
How to Have Faith in God’s Miracles
Remember What God Has Already Done
Faith grows when you look backward before you look forward. The Bible is filled with miracles—not to entertain us, but to teach us God’s nature. If God did these things before, He can do them again. Faith begins by remembering that His character has not changed.
Fill Your Mind With His Word
Romans 10:17 (KJV) says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
You cannot believe what you do not know.
The more you fill yourself with God’s promises, the more your heart understands that miracles are normal for God.
Pray With Honesty, Not Performance
God never asked for perfect, polished prayers.
He honors genuine hunger.
Tell Him, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” (Mark 9:24 KJV)
Jesus answered that prayer with a miracle.
He will answer yours too.
Expect God to Move — Don’t Dictate How
Faith is confidence in God’s power, not confidence that He will do things your way.
Miracles often come in ways we never anticipated.
Faith grows when you hold onto God, not the method.
Surround Yourself With Testimonies
Hearing how God has worked in others reminds you that He is still active.
Your heart begins to say:
“If God did that for them, He can do it for me.”
Step Out in Obedience, Even in Small Ways
Almost every miracle in Scripture came after someone took a step of obedience:
- Moses lifted his staff.
- Elijah poured water on the altar.
- The widow gathered jars.
- Peter stepped out of the boat.
Faith grows when you act on what God has already shown you.
Watch for the Small Miracles
Sometimes God begins with little things—
peace in your heart, strength for one more day, guidance in a moment of confusion, protection you didn’t see.
If you thank Him for the small miracles, you’ll start seeing bigger ones.
Ask Boldly, Trust Completely
Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) says:
“He that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Ask with confidence.
Then rest in the assurance that God hears every prayer and responds with wisdom, love, and power.
I hope that this writing finds the correct people that God has chosen to receive it. We can all learn from His teachings, regardless of if you believe that you will be rescued through the rapture or not.
FEAST upon His words! LEARN of Him! God is unchanged. Study His character, so that you can know what He will do for you. Then, have the faith in Him and His solutions to your situation. He is your “Go-To” in EVERY challenge that you face. His unchanging characteristics are your anchor in knowing who to trust, and how deeply you can expect His promises.
Like many of you, I feel that the rapture is imminent. I feel an incredible rush to help people prepare for what is to come, from Both Sides of the Rapture: Those taken, and those left behind. God has given us this information for a reason. Sadly, many refuse to listen to these teachings and will find themselves in a terrible situation. But even then, He has given them a PLAN to navigate through this difficult time of the Tribulation.
Following the antichrist’s plan will be seen as the EASY way forward…STOP! To those left behind, you are here because you chose the EASY way, and were denied the rescue of Jesus. So, to will it be to follow the antichrist, it might seem like the easy way, however, by taking the mark of the beast you will be losing your very soul, and become a servant of satan and be cast into the Lake of Fire.
DO NOT TRUST a word that he says. REMEMBER…his skill will be deception. All that he says are lies. He will give false promises of safety, and even a glorious financial future for you. Like all of his other promises that he has given to the elite who have sold their soul, the benefits are short-lived, and the results are all the same. A lost soul, and the denial to be in God’s presence when you die.
PLAN A is so much easier. Give your life to Jesus Christ RIGHT NOW. Do as He has instructed as written in the Bible and become “Born Again.” If you don’t know what that means, look back to some of my writings that explain this process, OR as God to help you study for yourself. Jump into Christ’s teachings in the New Testament and learn the process for yourself. Doing so will guarantee you a ticket for the Rapture. You then will be “Protected” and caught up in the clouds to be with Jesus FOREVER!!! THIS TO ME SEEMS TO BE THE EASY and Correct way. Do it NOW!!!
There is PEACE in Christ!

River,
The people who will flee Judea will be guided by the holy spirit to go to the Red Rock city of Petra in Jordon just 1 hrs drive from Jerusalem. But most will be running. It will be prepared for them with water from a ancient water system built thousands of yrs ago. Quial and manna will be supplied as well for food. The AC will send a flood to try to kill everyone but the earth will open up and swoll the water up. (all in scripture).
I have been to Petra and walked it’s area for a full day and traded with the Bedouins who live in the caves. There is only one way in or out of the area a perfect place to hides God’s remnant.
Also, the AC will not be able to conquer Moab which is where Petra is.
nice post.
