Like many of you, I have followed the actions of president Donald Trump in relation with bringing peace to Israel and the surrounding nations. Here are his accomplishments:
Recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital
Moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem
Recognition of Israeli Sovereignty Over the Golan Heights
Brokerage of the Abraham Accords
These actions are unprecedented to say the least. In following end times prophecy in the Bible, we learn that peace must come to Israel allowing them to build a new temple there. A LEADER will immerge, the Antichrist, to allow this to happen.
So, can we conclude that because of President Donald Trump’s accomplishments in all that He has done towards peace in the Middle East, he is the antichrist? The answer is “NO, he is not!” Let’s take a moment and dive into why he cannot be, as well as try to discover where he fits into end times prophecy.
Throughout history, God has raised up leaders to fulfill His divine purposes — even when they didn’t realize it. From Cyrus of Persia to Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, secular rulers have often played roles in the unfolding of biblical prophecy. In our generation, former U.S. President Donald Trump has emerged as a figure of unusual significance regarding Israel and peace in the Middle East. Many wonder: Where does he fit in the prophetic timeline?
Trump Is Not the Antichrist
According to the Bible, the Antichrist arises from the revived Roman Empire, not from America.
“And the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary…” — Daniel 9:26 (KJV)
Those “people” were the Romans who destroyed Jerusalem in A.D. 70. This means the coming world ruler will emerge from that same cultural-political sphere — most likely a future European alliance or Mediterranean region — not the United States. Trump, therefore, does not fit the biblical profile of the Antichrist.
God May Be Using Him to Set the Stage
God has often used leaders to advance His prophetic plan, even those outside the faith.
“Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus… to subdue nations before him…” — Isaiah 45:1
Like Cyrus, Trump has made bold moves concerning Israel — recognizing Jerusalem as its capital, strengthening ties, and promoting peace efforts through the Abraham Accords and the recent Gaza cease-fire framework. These acts have placed Israel at the center of world attention, just as prophecy foretells.
Preparing the Ground for the Future Covenant
Daniel 9:27 says:
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week…”
This “week” represents seven years — the prophetic countdown of the Tribulation. The Antichrist will not create the covenant from nothing, but confirm (strengthen or enforce) an agreement already in place. Trump’s peace initiatives — normalization deals, regional alliances, and the recent multilateral efforts in Egypt — may be laying the diplomatic foundation for that eventual seven-year covenant.
The Spirit of Antichrist Is Already Working
John warned that the spirit of Antichrist was already at work in the world:
“Even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.” — 1 John 2:18
We see this spirit wherever peace is sought apart from repentance toward God — human unity without divine truth. Modern politics, media, and religion often call for global harmony while rejecting biblical morality. Trump’s peace efforts, though genuine, may still be part of the world’s march toward that deceptive era of “peace and safety” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).
God’s Sovereign Hand Over History
Even so, believers should not fear. Every headline reminds us that the Lord is moving history toward His appointed end.
“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people…” — Zechariah 12:3
The focus on Israel — politically, spiritually, and prophetically — tells us we are nearing the fulfillment of God’s plan. Trump’s actions may simply be one of the many ways the Lord is preparing the world for the return of Jesus Christ.
In Summary
Donald Trump’s role in prophecy may not be as a deceiver, but as a forerunner — helping arrange the conditions that will later be confirmed by the Antichrist. His boldness toward Israel, his peace initiatives, and his international influence all point to one truth: God’s Word is unfolding exactly as He said it would.
The Importance of the Timing of the Antichrist
The King James Version (KJV) gives us several clear clues about when the Antichrist will be revealed on the world stage.
Here’s what Scripture shows:
The Antichrist is revealed after the restrainer is removed
2 Thessalonians 2:6–8 (KJV)
“And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
And then shall that Wicked be revealed…”
Explanation:
The “restrainer” is widely understood to be the Holy Spirit working through the Church. When the Church is removed in the rapture, the restraining influence on evil will be gone — and then the Antichrist will be revealed.
So, the Antichrist is publicly revealed after the rapture.
Summary Timeline (KJV-Based)
| Event | Timing | Scripture |
| The Church (restrainer) removed | Before Tribulation | 2 Thess. 2:6–8 |
| Peace covenant confirmed with Israel | Beginning of Tribulation | Dan. 9:27 |
| Antichrist breaks covenant, demands worship | Mid-Tribulation (3½ years in) | Dan. 9:27; 2 Thess. 2:3–4 |
| Christ returns and destroys him | End of Tribulation | Rev. 19:19–20 |
To members of “Christ’s Church;” You will not even meet or know who the antichrist will be, for you will have already been removed through the rapture. This is so refreshing to me! I thank God for such a rescue plan of mercy, which He has scheduled for His followers. My efforts have switched from trying to identify the antichrist, to praising God for such a glorious gift…the Rapture. I invite you all to consider doing the same.
Today, we are one day closer to meeting our Savior and Redeemer in the air. I’m flooded with anticipation of such a moment. Excited doesn’t even adequately describe my feelings. It is beyond the excitement of Christmas Eve as a child, and even the anticipation of my children being born. It is something “complete,” such as …finally being able to Return Home!

I like this post. I do believe a few believers will see Antichrist before the Rapture, but it will not be many. No, Trump is not the Antichrist.
