For all of you who are commenting on these writings, THANK YOU!!! I appreciate the feedback, and your insight. These comments also give me a perspective where some of you are, and through prayer, they give me direction for new writings such as this one today.
I appreciate the humility that is displayed when a follower of Christ hopes that they will be included in the rapture. But this got me thinking, Does GOD want us to know that we will be included in the rapture? Does He feel that we should have a firm conviction of this happening to us, or does He desire that we keep this event in the emotional arena of hope?
You know the next step…Off we go to the scriptures to find the answer.
God absolutely wants His children to have assurance of salvation and to know that they will be included when Christ comes for His Church. The King James Version (KJV) makes this clear in several passages that speak of confidence, readiness, and assurance through faith in Jesus Christ.
Here are key verses that show this truth:
1 John 5:13
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”
God wants believers to know, not just hope, that they have eternal life. This assurance is through faith in Christ alone, not our works or worthiness.
Romans 8:16-17
“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ…”
The Holy Spirit gives believers inner confirmation — a divine witness — that we belong to God and will share in His glory. This includes being caught up with Christ when He returns (the Rapture).
1 Thessalonians 4:16–18
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
This passage describes the Rapture. It is written to comfort and assure believers (see verse 18). Paul tells the Church these words so that they would know what to expect and have peace, not fear.
John 10:27–29
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
Can there be any scripture greater than this? Wow! If you belong to Jesus — if you hear His voice and follow Him — you can rest assured that He will not leave you behind. His promise is eternal and unbreakable.
1 Thessalonians 5:9–11
“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ… Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.”
Believers are not appointed to wrath — the coming Tribulation judgment — but to salvation. This confirms that God intends His people to have confidence and comfort, not fear or uncertainty.
Many of us have been “PROGRAMED” through past religion membership to feel uncertain about where we stand with God. We have been taught about a JUDGMENT that will come, and in this judgment, we would be EVALUATED and placed into different levels of heaven. We were also taught that there are things that we must do based upon tithing, temple covenants, etc. that will determine our Judgment outcome. This “FEAR BASED” method of being taught is difficult to shake, after years of this type of exposure.
This is NOT the Gospel of Jesus Christ as HE taught when He was on the earth.
When Christ was here, He taught us the BEAUTIFUL concept of becoming Born Again. Where believers accept Jesus Christ into their lives, recognize that they are sinners, repent, and confess that He is our Lord and Savior. He gave us the promise that we would see a change in our lives by doing this, and has titled it being “Born Again.”
Now then, I must ask: Have you experienced a new life by accept Jesus Christ into your life, and realizing that you have become a “different person” by doing such? This is all that He asks of us! This is what GUARENTEES a person a ticket for the Rapture!
Now the next part I feel is important as well. Take the question to God: “Have I done the necessary things to receive the blessings of being “Born Again?” Let Him give you the assurance, let Him give you your conviction and acknowledgment of this being the case – OR – Let Him prompt you to do the things that you still have not done to fulfill His call to us.
For when you have truly been born again, you will receive the three greatest spiritual blessings possible:
Being included in the rescue mission of the Rapture.
Being included in the “Judgment Seat of Christ” where there will be NO
discussion of our sins, (for they have been washed clean through the atonement), rather we will receive CROWNS for the things that we have righteously done.
Living with God in Heaven for all of eternity!
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
You do not need to hope that you will be included in the rapture. God wants you to KNOW! In this case, hope is a stepping stone to Knowing.
We KNOW that the rapture is near, and that we are in the season. We now KNOW that we will be included in this Rapture, for we have been Born Again. We KNOW and anticipate that we will be included in the Wedding Feast of Christ, where we will receive Crowns of Glory for the Good that we have done…
…Now, TODAY, let us “comfort one another with these words.” This includes comforting ourselves, and having the faith and trust in God that we are included in all of this…Because…We have answered His call, and have Been Born Again through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Amen?? AMEN!!!
As the world increases their level of fear and uncertainty, let’s you and me take this time to thank God for the reassurance that He has given us. We know our future…We know our destiny, and it is anything other than FEAR. We will be rescued and delivered, just like Moses leading the Israelites out of certain death by parting the Red Sea through the power of God; Daniel in the Lion’s Den; and all of the other miracles of the Old Testament. Their God is our God. Prepare to see your OWN miracle that God will create for you.
I invite you to evaluate where you are in this process, and continue preparing for this glorious event that is to shortly come to be.
Again, please keep your comments coming. I pray that you will all find the joy and comfort that comes from being Born Again.

Thank you so much for posting this. It came at the precise time I needed it to. As I began reading your post and when I read the first scripture 1 John 5:13, the Holy Spirit bore to me the truthfulness. Such a wonderful peace and joy filled my soul. It brought tears to my eyes, tears of joy. I have always been one to question everything I see, hear and read in my life. I have always prayed that I could have the gift of faith by knowing. Now that I know, my faith has been strenghthed. What a truly wonderful gift God our Father, our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and have given us.
These words I write feel so inadequate to me because when the gift of truth has been given you, words cannot convey the feelings.
I am humbled by this. Peace to all and may all of you receive the gifts and blessings from our Lord Jesus Christ.
