Since I am now, “Preaching to the Choir,” I’m certain that all of you are WATCHING for Jesus Christ to come for His bride.
Matthew 24:42–44
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
We are watching, and ready!
As usual, there are many on social media that are predicting certain dates, or high watch periods when Jesus might return for the rapture. But, how about you? Do you gear up when one of these dates rolls by? Does your excitement come and go, based upon social media?
Personally, my stance has changed over these past few months regarding date setting.
I was born “Trying to figure things out.” Solving things, especially challenging tasks, is just part of my DNA. I certainly do not solve everything that I go after, but that passion is always there.
Because of this, I have been fascinated with the end times, and the prophecies in the Bible. God has given us these prophacies for a reason. What is that reason? Does He want us to Solve Complex prophacies: Crack the Code, so to say? Here’s what I’ve just learned:
God doesn’t want us to “solve” prophecy like a puzzle — He wants us to understand, believe, and be ready.
Let’s break that down biblically:
God Reveals Prophecy for Spiritual Readiness, Not Human Pride
Prophecy was never meant to be a code we “crack,” but a truth we trust.
“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
— Matthew 24:36 (KJV)
Jesus made it clear that we are not meant to predict exact timelines — but to stay watchful and faithful so that we’re not caught unprepared.
“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
— Matthew 24:44 (KJV)
God Does Want Us to Discern the Signs
While we cannot know the day or hour, we can recognize the season by the signs He gave.
“When ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.”
— Matthew 24:33 (KJV)
This means He wants His people to stay spiritually alert — aware of prophecy, watching world events, and living righteously in expectation of His coming.
Prophecy Deepens Faith — Not Curiosity
Some people get caught in endless speculation about dates, symbols, or hidden meanings. I for one have been guilty of this. But God’s purpose isn’t curiosity — it’s conversion.
“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein.”
— Revelation 1:3 (KJV)
Notice it says “keep those things” — meaning to live them out, not merely to figure them out.
The Mystery Belongs to God
Some details are intentionally sealed until the right time.
“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end.”
— Daniel 12:4 (KJV)
That means there are truths only God will reveal when the time is right. Our role is to trust His timing rather than to force an interpretation.
Does this make sense to you? It certainly does to me, and I express my sincere apology for always have been trying to “Crack the Code” of the prophecies in the Bible. I ask for your forgiveness, and have taken this learning to hopefully become more of what Christ would have me be, as I try to share His gospel.
I also have found a renewed peace in following the council of the scriptures. I know that we are in the season of the end times, and even the rapture. But I have stopped being concerned about any specific date, for it really has no relevance. I know that it will happen soon; I look forward to this time with great anticipation, love, and reverence. It will happen! I feel this deeply in my spirit. I’m grateful for that testimony.
I’m interested in hearing some of your thoughts on this topic. Please feel free to share them in the comment section.
See you soon.

I was a little perplexed by your your post. I too am fascinated by the end times prphecies and I also was trying to figure out when it’s going to happen. I fell victim to all those idiots on variuos websites that claim they know the exact date. What a bunch of nutballs they are. I strongly believe you gave us enough information based on scriptures to have a firm grasp of what is to come and how it all falls into place. You are correct in showing us the events that are to unfold and what to watch for. Now that I have a better understanding I am not obsessed with it. I will just keep doing what I am doing in my daily life hoping and praying that I will be counted worthy to be caught up in the clouds with our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for giving us that foundation, or rock I should say, to be knowledgeable and be prepared. Stay strong, stay faithful and be happy that it will all come to pass. That’s the hard part I believe.
