Trump Has Been “Anointed by Jesus?” Let’s Take a Deep Dive Into this Astronomical Claim – Where Does Donald Trump Fit in the End Times? (KJV)

On Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, the Independent News reported the following:

“A military commander told a group of non-commissioned officers that President Donald Trump was “anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth,” according to a complaint filed with a religious freedom watchdog.

The anonymous complaint was provided to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation by one of the NCOs in attendance at the Monday briefing on behalf of 15 troops – 11 of whom were Christians, one Muslim, one Jewish, and two atheists – and was first reported by freelance journalist Jonathan Larsen on his Substack.”

Iran (ancient Persia) is often linked to the prophecy of Gog and Magog—a massive coalition that attacks Israel just before Christ’s return (Ezekiel 38:1–6 KJV).

Additionally, in an August 22, 2019 article posted on the Indy100news, they reported this odd statement that President Trump made.

“Mr. Trump was speaking to reporters in order to defend the administration’s decision to continue the trade war with China, and he decided to turn to the sky in order to make the grandiose statement.

Somebody said this is Trump’s trade war. It’s not my trade war. This is a trade war that should have taken place a long time ago by a lot of other presidents.

Somebody had to do it. I am the chosen one. Somebody had to do it, so I took on China. I took on China on trade, and you know what? We’re winning.”

President Trump went on later to state that he was just joking about making this statement. With his clarification, he is not claiming to be the Chosen One. This detail is very important in trying to align his statements with bible prophecy.

So, what are we to make of this? Could President Trump be the antichrist? Did God anoint him to serve as an ambassador of Jesus Christ? To answer this, I would like to take you into the scriptures to better understand what might be happening here.

The “Strong Delusion”

One of the most cited passages is 2 Thessalonians 2, which describes a great deception before Christ returns.

2 Thessalonians 2:9–11

“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish…

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.

Many teachers interpret this to mean that in the last days:

  • People will strongly believe a false narrative.
  • A powerful leader may appear convincing or even miraculous.
  • Many people will follow him thinking he is good or divinely chosen.
  • Even the person themselves might think that they have been sent from God.

President Trump’s claim of being anointed by Jesus seems to fit this scripture detail of, “strong delusion.” It is very possible that he honestly feels that he has been anointed by Christ.

Let’s continue learning…

The antichrist will be a Leader Who Exalts Himself

Another warning appears in 2 Thessalonians 2:3–4, describing the “man of sin.”

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God…

Prophecy teachers say a key sign of the antichrist is a leader who eventually:

  • Exalts himself above others
  • Demands loyalty or worship
  • Claims authority beyond normal leadership

This is interesting. The scripture reveals a very important detail in regards to the actual antichrist. He will exalt himself ABOVE GOD. He will even claim that He IS God.

President Trump does not fit the detail of this scripture. As arrogant as President Trump is, he has not…SO FAR… placed himself above God, nor claiming that he is God.

In the End-Times, there will be False Christs and False Messiahs

Jesus Himself warned about this.

Matthew 24:24 (KJV)

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

This means people claiming divine authority—or being treated as if they have it—will appear before Christ returns.

President Trump also fits this description, claiming divine authority. We must at least consider the possibility that he thinks of himself as a false prophet. To me though, this additional detail helps clarify that he is indeed not the antichrist as written in the scriptures, perhaps a false prophet.

Important Perspective

Most serious Bible teachers emphasize something important:

  • The Bible never tells us to identify the Antichrist before the tribulation begins.
  • Many leaders throughout history have been accused of fitting these prophecies (Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin, etc.).
  • Christians are warned to stay watchful rather than assume any one current leader fulfills prophecy.

The Main Biblical Focus

The New Testament consistently teaches believers to focus on Jesus Christ—not political leaders.

Acts 4:12 (KJV)

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Identifying the antichrist might seem to be important to some of us. However, Jesus Christ is the one that we should be focused upon, for it is HIM that will save us.

We also know that through the prophetic writings of the bible, that we will clearly know Jesus Christ when He returns.

His First appearance will be when He calls His followers to meet Him in the clouds, for a rescue event known as the Rapture.

1 Thessalonians 4:16–17

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Followers will not have to identify Christ prior to this happening. It will HAPPEN regardless of a person’s belief. And for the followers of Christ, we do not need to be in a certain place, or even need to look up. If we are on His list, we will be “caught up” in the clouds to meet Him automatically, without having to do anything on our part.

When Jesus Christ returns to the earth the second time, His feet touch the ground. The Bible describes this as the visible Second Coming, which is different from the earlier catching away of believers in the clouds.

Jesus Will Stand on the Mount of Olives

Zechariah 14:4

“And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east…”

This shows that Christ physically returns to the earth, specifically to Jerusalem.

The Purpose of Christ’s Second Coming

Take note of the PURPOSE that Jesus is coming this time. He is NOT coming in peace and love, rather, He is coming to Destroy the Antichrist and His Armies.

Revelation 19:19–21

“And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him…
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet…”

At His return, Jesus defeats the Antichrist and the armies gathered at Armageddon.

To End the Tribulation

The tribulation ends when Christ intervenes and stops the destruction of the earth.

Matthew 24:21–22

“For then shall be great tribulation…
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved…”

Jesus returns to stop the destruction and rescue the world from total devastation.

He will Come To Judge the Nations

Matthew 25:31–32

“When the Son of man shall come in his glory… then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another…”

This is often called the Sheep and Goat Judgment.

He will Come To Establish His Kingdom on Earth

Revelation 20:4

“And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

This begins the Millennial Kingdom, where Christ rules the earth for 1,000 years.

Make NO mistake! Anyone who claims to be Jesus Christ, with the promise to bring peace to the earth prior to the battle of Armageddon is NOT Jesus Christ!!!!!!!!

And for His second return, you will KNOW that He is not coming in PEACE. He is coming with a “Vengeance” to destroy evil.

Here are the key scriptures that describe His second Coming:

Christ Comes with Vengeance

Isaiah 63:4

“For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.”

This passage describes the Messiah returning to judge and avenge the wicked while redeeming His people.

The Lord Comes in Flaming Fire

2 Thessalonians 1:7–8

“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

This shows Christ bringing judgment on those who reject God and the gospel.

Christ Returns as a Warrior King

Revelation 19:11–15

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations…”

This is one of the clearest pictures of Christ returning to defeat the armies of the world. He will defeat evil with His Words.

The Day of the Lord Brings Destruction

Isaiah 13:9

“Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.”

Christ Comes With His Saints

Jude 1:14–15

“Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
To execute judgment upon all…”

This indicates believers return with Christ when He comes to judge the earth.

Do you have a clear picture now for each of the times that Christ returns to the earth? The first, RAPTURE, will be to rescue His followers by calling them up into the clouds.

The Second time, He comes waging War against evil, bringing His followers with Him.

So, if a new leader comes bringing PEACE to the earth because of his promises, IT WILL BE THE ANTICHRIST.

Jesus Warned That Israel Would Accept Another “Messiah”

John 5:43

“I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Jesus warned that although many rejected Him, they would accept another man who comes in his own name.

The antichrist will come as:

  A peacemaker

  A protector of Israel

  Possibly a religious figure

  Someone who helps rebuild the temple upon the temple mount

We then know that 3.5 years into the 7-year Tribulation Period, this same antichrist will enter the new temple built upon the temple mount and revealing his true identity, satan, declaring to be GOD and demanding worship.

Here are the scriptures explaining this event:

The Antichrist Sits in the Temple Claiming to Be God

This is the clearest scripture describing the moment he reveals himself.

2 Thessalonians 2:3–4

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Key points:

  • He enters the temple of God
  • He declares himself to be God

This is the moment the Antichrist reveals his true identity.

Jesus Warned About This Event

Jesus referenced the same moment when speaking about the end times.

Matthew 24:15

“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)”

Important clues:

  • It happens in the holy place (the temple).
  • It is the event predicted by Daniel.

The Antichrist openly exalts himself above God.

Daniel 11:36

“And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods…”

Conclusion

President Trump likely is playing a VERY important role in the end times. He is, and will be, instrumental in bringing this “false peace” to Israel. It is VERY unlikely that he is the antichrist.

Quite honestly, he could be on either side. He might be on God’s team simply fulfilling his part of the end times. He might also be on “team satan” preparing things for the arrival of the antichrist. One could even conclude that he might be the false prophet written about in scripture.

We know that DECEPTION will be the them of the end times. We are anticipating the rapture event which will soon take place. After which, we will know that anyone claiming to be Christ prior to the Battle of Armageddon will NOT be Him, and likely the antichrist.

Our priority right now should be ensuring that we are followers of Jesus Christ, so that we can be included in the rapture. Everything else is really insignificant, for “WE” will have already been removed from this earth.

If you question to know if you are on the list or not, study what it means to be “In Christ” in the Bible. You will come to find what it takes to become a member of “Christ’s Church.” Jesus is coming for “His Church” and you can know today if you are in His congregation.

I hope to see all of you very soon.

  1. Well said. I believe Trump plays a big part in all of this. Sometines I am baffled, is he laying the groundwork for all these things to fall into place ? From which side ? The good or the evil ? Most times I believe that either he knows what he is doing or he doesn’t. Is someone guiding him ? And if so, who ? A good person or a bad ? Either way, I just watch what he’s doing and see how it all fits into the prohecies, if it does. But one thing I came to realize with a surety, I put no trust, belief or faith in Man.
