The KJV Teaching of the “Rapture Qualifications” are “Accompli” – A Further TRUTH Revealed – You Need to Read This!

January 23, 2026 | www.gospelofjesuschrist.blog | River Wilde

I have loved immersing myself fully in the bible over the past two years. I’m grateful for a loving God who saw the purpose of preserving the writings of Jesus, His Apostles, and God’s Prophets, so that we would indeed know His Gospel.

One of my “gifts” that I have received from the Bible, comes from this scripture:

Galatians 1:8 (KJV):

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

This has defined where I can go to know the TRUTH about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The bible is complete in the teachings of His gospel.

There is a French word that expresses what I would like to share with you today. That word is “Accompli,” (uh-kawn-PLEE), meaningCompleted, fulfilled—done, but not exhaustive.

The teachings of the bible regarding the gospel of Jesus Christ, are complete in “scripture,” however that does not necessarily mean the teaching of each gospel principle has been exhaustive. We can gain further insight about a gospel principle taught in the scriptures through teachings of the Holy Spirit, or even by looking at “evidence” that is all around us.

Together, we’ve spent a great deal of time studying the phrase “in Christ” as the requirement for the rapture. Scripture teaches us that being “in Christ” comes from being “Born Again;” Receiving Christ into our lives. I have tried to use scripture to define this, and have learned that my writings were, “Accompli,” True, and complete but not exhaustive. Let me clarify this further.

All of us at some point examine our lives and ask ourselves, “Are we In Christ?” How would we know for sure? Does it come from checking off the boxes that are taught in the scriptures, or is there something different?

Instead of JUST using scripture, which gives direction of how a person can become born again, let’s examine this from a different direction…From the perspective of evidence. We learn through the scriptures that there will be evidence that we can see, know, and feel when a person has been born again.

People who are In Christ receive the Holy Spirit

Ephesians 1:13

“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.”

The Holy Spirit is given to all who have been “Born Again” at belief, not later, and He seals the believer.

2 Corinthians 1:21–22 (KJV)

“Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.”

The Spirit is God’s down payment guaranteeing what’s coming.

Ephesians 1:13

After that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise”

Galatians 4:6 (KJV)

“And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.”

The Spirit is proof of adoption — God puts His Spirit inside His children.

Romans 8:9 (KJV)

“Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”

If you belong to Christ, you have His Spirit. No Spirit = not His. Simple and decisive.

Acts 5:32 (KJV)

“…and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.”

We now can see that as soon as a person has been Born Again, they receive the Holy Spirit. Having the Holy Spirit is evidence that we are “in Christ,” for this is how a person will know for themselves.

I can tell you that as a member of a certain church, “I WAS FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST!” There is no question whatsoever that I had received this gift of the Holy Spirit. Evidence that I had been Born Again!

This evidence included me being “taught,” “guided,” “protected,’ and “comforted,” that I will NEVER deny.

When my son was killed, I was literally consumed by the Holy Spirit, COMFORTED, guided, and consoled for days!!! I was, and still am “in Christ” for I know that I have the Holy Spirit.

With this understanding, a person can be “in Christ” in any religion…even if that religion has some untrue teachings. It is not the church, or lack of a church, that determines if we are in Christ or not. It is through our own personal relationship with Jesus Christ…COMPLETE, and Telling.

And, if you have the holy spirit, you will be included in the rapture…even if you have untrue beliefs regarding the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is NOT about having a perfect knowledge about the gospel of Jesus Christ that makes you born again. It is about accepting the atonement of Jesus Christ into your life, and from that moment on, being “in Christ”

Personal evidence is the tail end of “Accompli.” The scripture teachings of being in Christ is very clear when you see the evidence of a person who is Born Again. They have the Holy Spirit, and are very aware that they have it. Let this be the comfort in you knowing that you will be included in the rapture which is coming.

Another very important teaching in the Bible, that lends credibility of what I am sharing, is the details and purpose of the rapture itself.

God is in charge of the end times. He will not allow the antichrist to begin his deceptive reign on earth until He has removed the Restrainer of His Spirit from the earth.

Where does the Restrainer of His spirit reside??? You certainly guessed that right. His spirit lies inside of those who are “in Christ.” So, it’s clear to see that if His spirit resides in YOU, that you will be removed in the rapture. This is necessary, and the way that God will remove the Restrainer of His Spirit from the earth. After this is done, the antichrist is allowed to make his entrance upon the world stage.

Let’s see this teaching for ourselves in the scriptures of the KJV:

The Removal of the Restrainer of His Spirit Before the Antichrist Is Revealed

The Bible teaches that before the Antichrist can be revealed, a divine restraint must first be removed from the earth. This restraint is often misunderstood as God completely withdrawing His Holy Spirit from the world. Scripture does not support that idea. Instead, the Word of God reveals that the Holy Spirit ceases His restraining ministry, not His presence.

God never fully abandons the earth prior to the Tribulation. If He did, no one could be saved during that time. Yet Scripture clearly shows that many will come to faith during the Great Tribulation. Therefore, the Spirit of God must still be active.

The foundational passage for this truth is found in Paul’s second letter to the Thessalonians:

“And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.”
— 2 Thessalonians 2:6–7 (KJV)

This scripture might be difficult to understand, simply by just reading it. So, lets break it down in order to better understand.

The word letteth in the King James Bible means to restrain. Paul teaches that something—or more accurately, Someone—is restraining the full manifestation of lawlessness and holding back the revelation of the Antichrist. When that restraint is removed, the Antichrist will be revealed.

Scripture rules out several possibilities for the identity of the Restrainer. Human governments cannot be the restraining force, as the Antichrist ultimately rises through global political collapse and deception. Angels cannot be the Restrainer, because angels do not indwell believers nor restrain sin worldwide. Satan cannot restrain evil, because he is its source.

Only the Holy Spirit fits the biblical description. Jesus Himself declared that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin:

“And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.”
— John 16:8 (KJV)

The Holy Spirit restrains evil by convicting hearts, promoting truth, and indwelling believers. In the Church Age, the Holy Spirit permanently indwells the body of Christ:

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
— 1 Corinthians 3:16 (KJV)

Because the Holy Spirit indwells the Church, the restraining force is exercised through the presence of believers on the earth. For the Restrainer to be taken “out of the way,” the body He indwells must be removed. This occurs at the rapture of the Church.

Paul describes this event clearly:

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
— 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 (KJV)

At the rapture, the Church is removed from the earth. The Holy Spirit does not cease to exist, nor does He abandon humanity, but His unique role of restraining global lawlessness through the indwelling Church ends. With the restraint gone, the Antichrist is revealed.

Paul confirms the consequence of this removal:

“And then shall that Wicked be revealed…”
— 2 Thessalonians 2:8 (KJV)

The removal of restraint results in unprecedented deception and moral collapse:

“And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.”
— 2 Thessalonians 2:11 (KJV)

Even so, the Holy Spirit remains active during the Tribulation. People are saved, repent, and are cleansed, which cannot happen without the Spirit of God:

“These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”
— Revelation 7:14 (KJV)

Thus, Scripture teaches a clear distinction: the Holy Spirit’s restraining ministry ends, but His saving ministry continues.

The Antichrist cannot be revealed until the Restrainer is removed. This confirms that the Church must be taken out of the way before the Tribulation begins. Believers are not appointed to endure God’s wrath:

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:9 (KJV)

The Tribulation is a time of divine judgment upon a rebellious world. The Church, redeemed by grace and sealed by the Spirit, is removed beforehand. Only after the restraint is lifted does lawlessness reach its full expression, and only then is the Antichrist revealed.

This is not speculation. It is the orderly sequence revealed in Scripture, rightly divided, and anchored in the promises of God.

Doesn’t this all make total sense now, because of these teachings? It once again rings true regarding the “simplicity” of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What Christ did for us was miraculous and a tremendous sacrifice, (nothing simple about this). But His gospel…which is this gift that He gave us is “Simpleto be a part of. Salvation through Jesus Christ is simple, and makes life easier,

Matthew 11:28-30

“28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

For those who are studying the scriptures of the Bible, you have learned EXACTLY what God has desired for you to know. You know the details of the end-times, written by prophets and apostles of God. You know the season of the rapture.

You now know, who will be taken in the rapture, and the purpose behind it. God is rescuing His people; Those “in Christ,” keeping us protected, by a rescue of removal from the Tribulation Period.

And finally, You know who is included in this rapture…Those who have His spirit…Those members of HIS Church…Those who have been Born Again…Collectively we are those “In Christ.”

I hope that this helps remove any fear that you might have regarding the end times. Please take a moment and praise God for this comforting knowledge and testimony. It is because of HIM that we are going to be rescued. And, it is because of HIM that you can know that you will be included in this rescue plan. How can we ever repay Him for all of this? Look no further than the bible for the answer to this question:

How We Can Praise God

1. Love God Above All

“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”
Matthew 22:37 (KJV)

Everything else flows from this. God is honored when He is first—not fear, not tradition, not men.

2. Trust Him Completely

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)

Faith honors God. Trust glorifies Him, especially when circumstances are dark.

3. Obey His Word (Not Man’s Rules)

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
John 14:15 (KJV)

God is honored by obedience to His Word, not by traditions that contradict it.

4. Walk Humbly With Him

“What doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”
Micah 6:8 (KJV)

Pride dishonors God. Humility magnifies Him.

5. Live a Life of Charity (Love)

“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”
1 Corinthians 13:13 (KJV)

Love—real, sacrificial love—is one of the greatest honors you can give God.

6. Care for the Poor and Needy

“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.”
Proverbs 19:17 (KJV)

God counts kindness to others as kindness to Himself.

7. Keep Your Body and Life Holy

“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
1 Corinthians 6:20 (KJV)

Holiness is not perfection—it is surrender.

8. Give God Thanks in All Things

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)

Gratitude honors God even in suffering.

9. Speak Truth and Confess Christ

“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.”
Matthew 10:32 (KJV)

Quiet faith honors God—but bold faith glorifies Him.

10. Rest in His Grace

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”
Ephesians 2:8 (KJV)

Trying to earn God’s favor dishonors the cross. Trusting Christ honors it.

The Heart of It All

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
1 Corinthians 10:31 (KJV)

You honor God by belonging to Him, walking with Him daily, and trusting His grace—not by checking religious boxes. This is how we will show our love, and PRAISE to our God.

I give God all of the praise for the content of this writing. I am grateful for the teachings of the Holy Ghost, as I continue to learn important details of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the events of the end times. I marvel just how much information is included in a bible that sat on my shelf for years, seen as something that occasionally would enhance the gospel, rather than contain the ENTIRE Gospel of Jesus Christ…Complete, and Enough.

  1. Hi River! Nice job on this writing. Very nice.

I’ve been trying to help people understand John 3:3 for a long time now.

If only this message could get to those that are just “sitting” in church, the many who are probably not saved.

Thanks for the time that you took to write this. I write also, but my health and vision are keeping from the 6-7 hours that I used to put in.

I still try, especially to reach family and friends, but our time will run out very soon.

    God Bless!

    Mike

  2. dear river,

I don’t know of any other way to get a hold of you except this comment section. Perhaps you have a email address you share.

I think you should go to Nowtheendbegins.com and watch the last few podcasts about the Daniel 9:27 being fulfilled at Davos Switzerland. I have been with this web site for 10 yrs it’s KJV only and has great info you might want to study. Everything that’s going on in Isreal is covered. The information you share will be strengthened to your readers if you can show them how close we are to the rapture and the possible man of sin being revealed.

there is also a great bible book store on the site. I have a book about how to get my morman friends to find Jesus.

    anyway, check out the website.

    thank you 😊
