Wars, and Rumors of Wars – What is This Telling Us About TODAY?

January 16, 2026 | http://www.gospelofjesuschrist.blog | River Wilde

Many people went to bed last night, terrified, and expected to wake up today to be involved in WW-lll. Yet those who are following Jesus Christ slept soundly. Why was that?

Both parties have access to the “News,” but…they both also have access to the same writings from the prophets in the Bible. The answer relating to the difference in emotions is simple; where are you getting your information from. Which information do you place your faith in?

Satan’s team again is centered around deception, and his strength lies in your fear. Christ on the other hand is centered upon TRUTH, and His gift is peace and comfort.

For followers of Jesus Christ, there will come a time when peace in your life will abound, regardless of what is happening around you.  You will reach a level of TRUST in Him, so great, that you will recognize that He’s Got This. Are you there yet? We are living through what has been prophesied, and, God has already established His Plan.

Let me show you God’s instructions to all of His followers…to not be troubled.”

Matthew 24:6–7 (KJV)

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

When you are able to TRUST God, you eliminate the emotion of fear. Fear is NOT God’s strategy, that is only found in satan’s quiver.

An important part of the “End-Times” is for followers of Jesus Christ is to trust His plan, but sadly, many don’t even know what His plan is. Their church hasn’t taught Christ’s plan of how to successfully navigate through the end times. This leaves them at a disadvantage, because they do not have anyone to guide them through, other than a man who remains silent when so much is happening.

I reach out to those people who have never been taught about God’s plan for His children in the end times, so that you too may find comfort in these troubling times.

One of the GREATEST discoveries for me over these past two years of studying the bible, is that I KNOW that I have been saved through the atonement of Jesus Christ, and that I will be with Him in “heaven” when I die. I KNOW this… and not just HOPE that this is true.

I have lived my entire life worried that I had not done enough, or if I was still packing around unforgiven sins. I had been taught that I need to earn my way into “heaven,” and would continually question, If I Had Done Enough. Have I paid enough tithing, gone to the temple enough times, cleaned the church enough, been obedient to leaders enough, even when I started to question some of the teachings: would I be punished for being disobedient? Had I been FAITHFUL to the church enough?

I would Judge myself, and place myself in a kingdom that I was taught about, and it certainly was NEVER the highest kingdom, for I didn’t feel that I was good enough. This is the fear that I was taught…and fear is not from God.

I learned to accept the atonement of Jesus Christ as all that was necessary for me to belong with Him in Heaven. I would have faith in His sacrifice, which has created a strong desire for me to live my very best life that I can, not to earn my way into heaven, but to reflect being a child of God, and wanting the Holy Ghost to always be my companion.

I would repent for my sins, and know that He has forgiven me, then again, I would trust in His atoning sacrifice. My Good works would be the fruit of our relationship, and not the root.

Knowing this, I have NO FEAR of what “men” can do to me. Do you realize how freeing this is to me? I belong to God, not a church that promotes fear of not being enough. I also know God’s plan that He has for Me in these end times.

His Plan

We all are aware that there has always been a battle between good and evil on this earth. Many of us are also aware that there will soon be a final showdown between God and satan, in what has been taught from the prophets of the Bible as the 7-year Tribulation period.

During these 7 years, satan will be trying to get as many followers as he can through DECEPTION. God also plans on pouring out His 7 Bowls of wrath upon the earth and ALL of its inhabitants. Let’s learn about these things…

The Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath (KJV)

1. First Bowl – Painful Sores on the bodies of those who have taken the mark of the beast – Revelation 16:2

2. Second Bowl – Sea Turns to Blood – Revelation 16:3

3. Third Bowl – Rivers and Springs Turn to Blood – Revelation 16:4–7

4. Fourth Bowl – Scorching Heat – Revelation 16:8–9

5. Fifth Bowl – Darkness on the Beast’s Kingdom – Revelation 16:10–11

6. Sixth Bowl – Euphrates River Dried / Armageddon Prepared – Revelation 16:12–16 (This river is in the process of drying up right now…take a look on-line)

7. Seventh Bowl – Final Judgment – Revelation 16:17–21

We have also been taught about the 7 Seals of God’s Judgment, again, this is God’s plan to defeat satan and his followers:

The Seven Seals (KJV)

1. First Seal – The White Horse – false peace and deception — often understood as the rise of Antichrist – Revelation 6:1–2  (This could occur at any time now)

2. Second Seal – The Red Horse – Warfare, bloodshed, and global conflict – Revelation 6:3–4

3. Third Seal – The Black Horse – Famine and economic collapse – Revelation 6:5–6

4. Fourth Seal – The Pale Horse – Widespread death through war, famine, disease, and wild beasts – Revelation 6:7–8

5. Fifth Seal – Cry of the Martyrs – Persecution of believers and martyrs crying for justice – Revelation 6:9–11

6. Sixth Seal – Cosmic Disturbances – Global terror and recognition of God’s wrathRevelation 6:12–17

7. Seventh Seal – Silence in Heaven – A solemn pause before the Trumpet Judgments begin – Revelation 8:1

These are the events of the 7-year Tribulation period. So how can knowing these things bring me COMFORT? It brings me terror!!! The comfort comes from first understanding what is coming to this earth, and the purpose behind it.

You must know these “awful” things are coming from GOD, and their purpose is to Defeat satan and EVIL. This is God’s plan to finally eliminate evil from the earth. This is the seriousness of the end times. God has had ENOUGH of satan and Evil, and He will finally destroy it, and remove it from the face of the earth. He will do this with the things that He has taught us about, as written above.

Now – The COMFORT

Do you realize that none of this is intended for followers of Jesus Christ? Those who belong to Christs Church, (defined as all followers of Jesus Christ, not a religion). God’s fight is NOT with us! All of these “punishments” are not meant for US!

But know that those people who have not accepted Christ into their life are in for quite a difficult life ahead.

So, what is God’s plan for Followers of Christ?

Do you recall how the Israelites were fleeing the Egyptian soldiers who were in pursuit to kill all of them, and they were back up against the shores of the Red Sea? God had a rescue plan for them. He would part the sea, allowing them to escape harm and death. Do you believe this event happened? I do, and this is how our Loving God works.

Similar to this rescue, God has a rescue plan for you and me…to escape all of these events listed above which are not intended for us…This plan is called the Rapture of His Church.

Before the 7-year Tribulation period begins, God will send His son, Jesus Christ to come for us, along with the people “in Christ” who have already died, and lift us up into the air, to be with Him…and…to Forever be with Him.

Christ will come to rescue us, His followers, away from all of the danger that God has planned for the inhabitants on the earth. This is the COMFORT that I speak of.

Hearing this might bring “shallow peace,” BUT knowing it, believing in it, and having God testify to you that it is true is when SOLID PEACE will come.

I KNOW that Christ is coming to rescue me, and I KNOW that I will be with Him forever in HEAVEN. This is why I am at peace. This is why I do not fear the events of the Tribulation period…and this PEACE is something that you can have as well.

Let me show you the rapture plan as written in the bible. It is a start of your understanding, but it’s truthfulness will not come until you take it to God for Him to show you of its truthfulness. Let Him confirm the truth of these writings.

The Rapture as Taught in the KJV Bible

The word “rapture” does not appear in the King James Version, but the event itself is clearly taught. The term comes from the Latin rapturo, meaning to be caught up, which directly reflects the language used in Scripture.

What Is the Rapture?

The Rapture is the moment when Jesus Christ removes His Church from the earth, raising dead believers and transforming living believers, taking them to be with Him before God’s wrath is poured out.

Jesus Promised to Come for His People

John 14:1–3 (KJV)

“1. Let not your heart be troubled…
2. I go to prepare a place for you.
3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

Jesus did not say He would come to judge here — He said He would receive believers unto Himself.

The Rapture Explained Clearly by Paul

1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 (KJV)

16 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout…
And the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Key truths:

  • Jesus comes in the air, not to the earth
  • Believers are caught up
  • This is a reunion, not a judgment

The Rapture Is a Comfort — Not a Warning

1 Thessalonians 4:18 (KJV)

“18. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

Judgment is never described as a comfort. The Rapture is meant to bring peace and hope to believers. It is meant to understand this as a blessing from God, to be removed from the coming danger that will fill the earth.

The Rapture Is Sudden and Without Warning

1 Corinthians 15:51–52 (KJV)

“51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

This change is:

  • Instant
  • Supernatural
  • God-initiated

Believers Are Not Appointed to God’s Wrath

1 Thessalonians 5:9 (KJV)

“9. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The Tribulation is God’s wrath (Revelation 6–18). The Church is removed before it begins.

Jesus Promised Protection from the Coming Hour

Revelation 3:10 (KJV)

“10. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”

“From” means out of, not protected through.

The Rapture Is Different from the Second Coming

Rapture      Second Coming
Christ comes for His saints          Christ comes with His saints
Meets believers in the air          Returns to the earth
No judgment          Judgment of nations
Sudden, unseen          Visible to all
Before wrath          After wrath

Zechariah 14:4 (KJV)

“4. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.”

This is not the Rapture. This happens after the Tribulation.

The Rapture Could Happen at Any Moment

Titus 2:13 (KJV)

“13. Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”

Believers are told to watch, not calculate dates.

Who Will Be Taken?

Those who belong to Christnot by church membership, not by works, but by faith.

Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV)

“8. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9. Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Luke 21:36 (KJV)

“36. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things…”

Being ready means belonging to Christ, not striving to earn salvation.

It is my prayer that all of you who read this will continue your study and belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as taught in the Bible. If you study the writings of Jesus Christ and the prophets, you can come to learn these two very important Gospel topics:

*How you can be assured that you are going to Heaven.

*The rescue plan of God, Jesus is coming for His Bride, in the event known as the Rapture.

You will find so much comfort and peace in doing so. Just let me remind you of God’s promise:

Matthew 11:28-30

“28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

God’s truth is out there, and you can find it if you rely solely upon Him, and His teachings through the Holy Ghost. I invite you to seek the light that comes from the true teachings of Jesus Christ as written in the Bible.

See you all very soon.

  1. God’s rescue plan of the rapture and full assurance in the sufficiency of Jesus Christ’s atonement does bring comfort when we see the ever growing chaos of this fallen world.

I’m sure it was just a mistake and you meant the Egyptian army when you wrote…” Do you recall when the Israelites were fleeing the Roman soldiers who were in pursuit to kill all of them, and they were back up against the shores of the Red Sea?”

Very encouraging message, though. I experienced plenty of fear as a Mormon, no longer in Christ.

  2. Well laid out posting. It says it all and right to the point. I also was terrified about the tribulation and that horrible stuff that was going to happen a while back. I am now at peace because I understand what the Rapture is, Christ’s plan to save his believers before the Tribulation period and God’s plan for the unbelievers. A lot of fear has been replaced with comfort.
