For the FEW of Us Who Know that the Rapture will Happen Any Day, What Do We Do NOW? Are You Getting Impatient? (KJV)

So, the world just keeps moving forward, as if it’s just another ordinary day. Life goes on without interruption. But there is a small group of people who are tuned in—sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Ghost—and they sense something different. They are aware that the rapture could happen at any moment.

What are we supposed to be doing right now?
(If you feel this too, keep reading…)

Living in what feels like two worlds is not easy. On one hand, we wake up, go to work, care for our families, and handle our daily responsibilities. This is the life we’ve always known—the routine we’re used to.

But something has changed.

We now see God’s plan more clearly. We understand what He has revealed about the final seven years, and we believe His promise—that Jesus Christ will come for His followers, catching them up in the clouds before the Tribulation begins.

How do we know this?

Because God has never acted without warning. He has always revealed His plans ahead of time:

Amos 3:7 (KJV)
“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”

God does not bring judgment or major events upon the earth without first giving notice. And He doesn’t reveal these things to His servants so they can remain silent—but so the world can be warned.

This is mercy.

Because of these warnings, God is giving people time to prepare—to wake up, to turn to Him, and to be ready. Through His Word and through faithful messengers, He places a responsibility on us: to listen, to discern, and to respond.

And now, as we study the Scriptures, we can see it—things are lining up just as they were prophesied. Because of this, many of us feel deep in our hearts that the rapture is near.

So how do we live with that knowledge? Do we quit our jobs? Do we try to squeeze in one last big vacation? Or is there something more God is asking of us?

Instead of guessing, let’s turn to Scripture and allow God to answer that question Himself.

Because throughout the Bible, He gives clear direction to those who are watching for His return. He never tells His people to live in fear or abandon their responsibilities.

Instead, He gives three consistent instructions to those who are waiting for Christ:

Watch… but don’t set dates
“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
— Matthew 24:42 (KJV)

Stay spiritually alert—but don’t let yourself fall into anxiety or constant obsession over timing. The exact moment has not been revealed. And yes, it can be difficult knowing that we may soon see the Savior face-to-face—but God never intended for that anticipation to become fear. He calls us to watch with peace, not panic.

Keep living faithfully and responsibly
“And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands…”
— 1 Thessalonians 4:11 (KJV)

“If any would not work, neither should he eat.”
— 2 Thessalonians 3:10 (KJV)

Don’t walk away from your responsibilities. Keep working. Keep providing. Keep living uprightly.

The expectation of Christ’s return is not a reason to withdraw from life—it’s actually the opposite. We are meant to stay engaged, productive, and purposeful. Sitting around waiting only leads to restlessness. But living, serving, and making a difference in the lives of others—that’s how we remain grounded and fulfilled while we wait.

Be ready—spiritually, not just mentally
“Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.”
— Luke 12:40 (KJV)

Readiness isn’t about knowing—it’s about trusting.

Trust Him. Praise Him. Be grateful for the rescue He has prepared. Continue walking in obedience, in repentance, and in grace. Keep serving others, loving people, and living out your faith daily.

This kind of readiness doesn’t just prepare your soul—it brings peace to your heart.

Encourage others—share the comfort, not fear

1 Thessalonians 4:16–18 (KJV):
“16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

Notice that last instruction: comfort one another.

This message was never meant to create fear or panic—it was given to bring hope. When you share the truth about the rapture, do it in a way that lifts people up. Let them feel the peace you’ve found, not pressure or fear.

Don’t be shaken by urgency or rumors
“Be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled… as that the day of Christ is at hand.”
— 2 Thessalonians 2:2 (KJV)

Even if everything feels close, don’t let urgency turn into confusion. Stay grounded in truth.

You don’t need to be consumed by headlines or constantly watching world events. God has already told us what we need to know. The most important truth is simple and unchanging:

Jesus Christ is coming.

Live like He could come today—but plan like He may not
“Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.”
— Matthew 24:46 (KJV)

Be found living faithfully—not just waiting.

Stay active. Stay obedient. Stay engaged in life.
Because when He comes, the goal isn’t that we were watching the clock—
it’s that we were faithfully living for Him.

ENJOY LIFE

Right now, it’s not only okay—it’s important—to focus on what truly matters.

Spend time loving your family and friends. Let go of distractions that don’t matter. Go outside and jump on the trampoline with your kids. Play games like “kick the can.” Take them to the park and feed the ducks. Do something thoughtful for your spouse or a close friend.

Slow down long enough to watch a sunrise… or a sunset.

Take in the beauty of what God has already created here on this earth. And as you do, let your mind begin to grasp something even greater—the new place He is preparing for us.

If this world is already filled with beauty, discovery, and adventure, imagine what awaits us next. God created this earth for us to explore and enjoy—and what He has prepared beyond this will be even more incredible. There will be greater beauty, deeper joy, and endless new things to discover in His presence.

Look beyond the rapture

For some, the idea of leaving this world can feel uncertain—even unsettling. But that feeling often comes from not fully understanding what comes next.

Think about this for a moment…

Every one of us is carrying something right now.
Depression. Anxiety. Disease. Pain. Limitations. Weakness.

But none of that goes with us when we are raptured. Not one illness. Not one ache. Not one emotional burden. Every physical, mental, and emotional struggle you face right now will be completely gone—replaced with perfection.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes…”
— Revelation 21:4 (KJV)

There will be no more sorrow. No more pain. No more suffering.

And this change doesn’t happen slowly—it happens instantly.

1 Corinthians 15:51–52 (KJV):
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump
… and we shall be changed.”

In a single moment—you are made new. And this isn’t temporary. This is your new reality… forever.

Everything that weighs you down stays behind

All the burdens of this life—gone.

No more financial stress.
No more broken things.
No more loneliness.
No more pressure, deadlines, or exhaustion.

All of it stays here. And you step into something completely different.

And where are we going after the rapture?

Jesus Himself gives the answer:

John 14:2–3 (KJV):
“In my Father’s house are many mansions… I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

This is a promise.

Not just to His disciples—but to all who belong to Him.

He is preparing a place for you. And when the time comes, He will personally receive you to Himself. You won’t be stepping into the unknown—you’ll be stepping into something intentionally prepared by Him.

Only those who belong to Christ will be there. That means your “neighbors” will be people who are fully restored—no emotional wounds, no physical limitations, no mental struggles. Everyone will be whole… the very best version of who God created them to be.

No drama. No division. No “Karens.” Can you start to picture it?

What will heaven actually be like?

Some people wonder… will it just be church all the time? Honestly—no. Church is often quite boring!!

Heaven is not about endless routine. It’s about relationship. And the greatest part of it all will be Jesus Christ Himself.

The Bible gives us a beautiful picture of what that relationship will be like—close, personal, joyful, and eternal.

We will be with Him forever
“And so shall we ever be with the Lord.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:17 (KJV)

This is the foundation of everything. No more distance. No more wondering. You won’t just believe in Him—you will live in His presence.

We will see Him face to face
“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face…” — 1 Corinthians 13:12 (KJV)

Right now, we know Him by faith. Then—it becomes personal, direct, and real. You will know Him fully, just as He knows you.

We will be like Him
“We shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” — 1 John 3:2 (KJV)

No more sin. No more weakness. Nothing holding you back. Your relationship with Him will be complete—unhindered and pure.

He will dwell with us
“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them…” — Revelation 21:3 (KJV)

Jesus won’t feel distant. He will be right there—present, near, and among His people.

A relationship of love and belonging
“…the marriage of the Lamb is come…” — Revelation 19:7 (KJV)

The Bible describes this connection like a perfect union—deep, secure, and full of love.

If you’ve ever longed for the perfect relationship… to be fully known, fully understood, and fully loved—this is it.

You will be with Someone who understands you completely… and you will finally understand Him in a way you never could before.

This is the relationship people have always been searching for.

We will serve Him—and reign with Him
“And his servants shall serve him: and they shall see his face…” — Revelation 22:3–4 (KJV)
“…we shall also reign with him.” — 2 Timothy 2:12 (KJV)

Heaven is not passive. It’s full of purpose. We won’t just exist—we will participate.

What does it mean to “reign with Him”?

It means we share in His kingdom—not as equals, but as those who belong to Him and serve under His authority.

“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” — Revelation 5:10 (KJV)

You will have purpose. Responsibility. Meaning. Jesus remains the King—but He invites us to take part in what He is doing.

“…they lived and reigned with Christ…” — Revelation 20:4 (KJV)

Think of it this way: He is the King of kings—and we are entrusted to serve and lead under Him.

What might that look like?

Scripture suggests things like:

  • Meaningful responsibility
  • Serving in His kingdom
  • Participating in His perfect rule

Jesus even hinted at this:
“thou hast been faithful… have thou authority over ten cities.” — Luke 19:17 (KJV)

This is not boring. Not even close. And beyond all of this… there is still the wonder of what He has created. If something as beautiful as a waterfall on earth can take your breath away—what will His new creation be like? What will it feel like to explore a world untouched by sin? Let’s just say… it will be more than anything we’ve known here.

So, enjoy the time you have now. Love your people well. Live fully. But don’t lose sight of where you’re going. Because what’s ahead… is far greater than what we leave behind.

“I can only imagine.”

Stay ready. Stay faithful. Keep living. Keep loving. Don’t fear. He will come at the right time.

“Occupy till I come.” — Luke 19:13 (KJV)
