Throughout Scripture, God reveals a truth both humbling and exciting: while no one knows the exact day or hour of Christ’s return, His people are expected to recognize the season. The Lord never intended for His coming to catch His faithful children by surprise. Rather, He calls us to watch, discern, and understand the signs unfolding before our very eyes.
Knowing the Season
When Jesus walked the earth, He rebuked the religious leaders for their blindness to prophetic timing. They could forecast the weather but not the spiritual season they lived in:
“Ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?”
— Matthew 16:3, KJV
He expected them to know the time of His first coming — and He expects us to be watchful for His second.
Paul echoed this when he wrote:
“But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:4, KJV
The Apostle didn’t say believers would know the hour, but that they wouldn’t be caught off guard. The world may be in darkness, but those who walk in the light of Christ are meant to see what season we are in.
The Seven Days of Creation — God’s Prophetic Blueprint
One of the most remarkable biblical patterns comes from the creation story itself.
Peter wrote that “one day is with the Lord as a thousand years” (2 Peter 3:8), and the Psalmist said, “a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday” (Psalm 90:4).
Many early Christian teachers and Jewish scholars understood this to mean that each day of Creation represents 1,000 years of human history — seven “days” in total, aligning with God’s perfect plan:
| Prophetic “Day” | Period | Theme |
| Day 1–6 | ~6,000 years | Mankind’s labor and struggle under sin |
| Day 7 | 1,000 years | Christ’s Millennial Reign — the Sabbath Rest |
According to biblical chronology, Adam’s creation was around 4000 BC.
That means 6,000 years of human history conclude around the year 2032 AD. (Christ’s time while upon the earth, 2BC thru 32 AD is excluded in this 6000-year timeline).
If the Millennium (Christ’s 1,000-year reign) begins at that time, it would follow that the 7-year Tribulation — Daniel’s final “week” — would begin around 2025 AD.
That places the rapture of the Church prior to the Tribulation Period starting, or in the final months of 2025. Furthermore, placing His second coming in 7 years from now, during 2032.
The Feast of Trumpets — The Feast No Man Knows the Day or Hour
The connection deepens when we look at Israel’s sacred calendar.
Each of the Feasts of the Lord (Leviticus 23) reveals a prophetic event in God’s redemptive plan:
| Feast | Prophetic Fulfillment |
| Passover | Christ’s Crucifixion |
| Unleavened Bread | His Burial |
| Firstfruits | His Resurrection |
| Pentecost | The Birth of the Church |
| Trumpets | The Rapture of the Church |
| Atonement | Israel’s National Repentance during the Tribulation |
| Tabernacles | Christ’s Millennial Reign on Earth |
The Feast of Trumpets is especially significant because it begins when the new moon is sighted — and that moment can vary by nearly two days.
For that reason, ancient Jews called it “the feast where no man knows the day or hour.”
Does that sound familiar?
When Jesus said those exact words in Matthew 24:36, He was not only giving a warning — He was pointing to a feast that perfectly represents the Rapture, when “the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God” (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17).
So, wait… The Feast of Trumpets has already occurred Sept 22-24, 2025. Doesn’t that disqualify the rapture from happening in 2025? Let’s consider the following information:
The Feast of Trumpets marks a season, not just a single day
Even though the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) has a calendar date, the prophetic meaning of it isn’t limited to those 48 hours in late September or early October.
- In the ancient Jewish reckoning, the new year began with Trumpets, and the period from Trumpets through Tabernacles (the Fall Feasts) was seen as one extended season of repentance, judgment, and renewal.
- Prophetically, that whole Feast season represents the closing of one age and the dawn of another — the transition from the Church Age to the Kingdom Age.
So, if the rapture and tribulation are to begin in the year 2025, the Feast having already occurred doesn’t necessarily rule out fulfillment. It could happen any time within that prophetic season that began with the most recent Trumpets and extends until the next cycle.
The Hebrew year 5786 covers much of 2025 – 2026
According to the Hebrew calendar, the Feast of Trumpets in the fall of 2025 begins the year 5786, which then runs until the next Trumpets in 2026.
That means that from a biblical calendar perspective, the world is still in the prophetic year that began with that feast.
So even if the visible new-moon festival has passed on our Gregorian calendar, we are still within the “year of Trumpets.”
If the rapture occurs anytime before the next Feast of Trumpets (2026), it would still fulfill the pattern of happening in that same prophetic year.
Another Indicator of Events Happening NOT on a Specific Day
Just as the rapture could happen in the YEAR of the Feast of the Trumpets, let’s look at the following holiday and events that will take place.
| Day of Atonement – Israel’s National Repentance during the Tribulation |
| Happens on the10th day of Tishrei, (in Sept or Oct each year) |
Day of Atonement = God beginning judgment on the world.
This Jewish holiday will mark the beginning of God pouring out His 7 Bowls of Wrath upon the earth. These bowls described in the Bible are not something that will occur on the same day. The holiday is symbolic to the actual day when it will begin.
The phrase “no man knows the day or the hour” also hints at unexpected timing
The Lord’s words could imply that the rapture might occur outside the feast itself — but still within the prophetic window associated with it.
The idiom points to uncertainty and watchfulness. In other words, God could fulfill the trumpet call at a time that surprises everyone, yet still align it symbolically with that feast’s meaning.
Transition years and divine overlap
In many prophetic patterns, God allows overlap between ages or dispensations.
For example:
- Jesus’ ministry overlapped the Law and the Church Age.
- The Exodus plagues overlapped judgment and deliverance.
It’s therefore possible that 2025 is the transition year — the one that begins Daniel’s final “week.”
If so, the Feast of Trumpets having passed might simply mean that the next major prophetic step (the confirming of the covenant, the rapture itself) unfolds shortly after that feast, still within the same prophetic year.
If 2025 truly opens the door to Daniel’s final seven years, then the rapture could occur at any moment within that window — even after the Feast of Trumpets on our civil calendar, yet still within the prophetic year it inaugurated.
The key is that Jesus wanted His followers to understand the season, not to lock in a date.
We can see the signs converging, the 6,000-year clock reaching its end, and Israel once again at the center of world affairs — all confirming that the season is here.
“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
— Matthew 24:44, KJV
Being ready and prepared does NOT mean that we sell, or give away all of our belongings, quit our job, or stop paying our bills. The preparation is spiritual in nature. Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and become “Born Again?”
John 3:3 (KJV):
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
This is how we ensure that we are included in the Rapture, and caught up to be with Jesus Christ FOREVER. If you have not taken this step, please study what the process entails, and devote your life to Jesus Christ. There is information on this blog that can assist you with this.
The time is short, as the rapture could happen any day now, for we are in the season.
Mark 13:33–37
“Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house,
and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work,
and commanded the porter to watch.
Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh,
at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”
Let us all continue praying that we will be found watching for His return. The process of the rapture is simple. You will not have to be outside, nor do you always have to be looking up.
Here’s a brief outline Describing the Rapture (KJV):
- A Heavenly Call – The Lord Himself descends from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
- Resurrection of the Dead in Christ – Believers who have already died will rise first from their graves (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
- Transformation of the Living Believers – Those who are alive and remain will be instantly changed—given glorified, incorruptible bodies (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
- Caught Up Together – All believers, both resurrected and transformed, are caught up (raptured) together to meet the Lord in the clouds (1 Thessalonians 4:17).
- Eternal Union – From that moment on, believers will be forever with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:17).
This event is described as sudden and unexpected—“in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye” (1 Corinthians 15:52)—and serves as both a rescue and a reunion for all who belong to Christ.
The things of this world, while still important, are not our focus right now. We will still continue to provide for our families. But it is time for us to shift our focus from the worries of this world, and look towards this glorious event that will remove us from our mortal chapter of life. It is time to realize that we are indeed “Going Home,” to our spiritual home, a place that we will know, and greeted by people that we know and love who have passed on.
“Therefore comfort one another with these words,” comes from 1 Thessalonians 4:18 (KJV)
And the ultimate prize? Going home to be with our Savior Jesus Christ, and live under His loving guidance. We will be free from sickness, and mortal imperfections. No more cancer, depression, heartache, loneliness or pain. Existing with a perfect glorified body, surrounded by loving people, in a new “heaven” that God has created for us… Can you only imagine?
This is how we prepare; This is how we watch. Let us all prepare to be introduced into our new home, for we are close to receiving the greatest blessing of our “Lives.”
