Will Everyone Have a Chance to Know Jesus – Specifically in the “End Times?” A KJV Perspective on God’s Mercy and the Tribulation

Many wonder: what happens to those who never hear the name of Jesus Christ? And looking forward, during the prophesied 7-year Tribulation, will everyone finally have a chance to know Him? The King James Version of the Bible provides a clear and hopeful picture.

God’s Justice and Mercy Today

Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ:

  • John 14:6 – “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
  • Acts 4:12 – “Neither is there salvation in any other.”

Yet God is perfectly just and merciful. Even those who never hear the Gospel are not condemned arbitrarily. The Bible emphasizes that God judges according to what each person knows and how they respond to the truth they do have:

  • Romans 2:12-16 – People are judged by the law written on their hearts, with conscience as witness.
  • Psalm 145:17 – “The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.”

God desires that all be saved, even those who never had the chance to hear:

  • 1 Timothy 2:3-4 – God “will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
  • 2 Peter 3:9 – He is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

For today, the unevangelized are held in God’s righteous hands. He knows their hearts, and His mercy reaches beyond what we can fully comprehend.

It is important to consider all those who have since passed away, not knowing Jesus Christ, that they are not forgotten. God will not condemn those who did not have a chance to learn or understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as He taught when upon the earth. Tho specific details regarding His plan are not mentioned in the Bible, knowing and trusting that God will provide them a fair chance is all that we need to answer that question.

But what about the end-times. Is there a specific plan for those who will enter into the 7-year Tribulation Period? Let’s take another look.

The Tribulation: A Time When All Will Hear

The Bible prophesies a time—the 7-year Tribulation—when God will ensure that every living person has the opportunity to hear and respond to His truth:

  • Revelation 14:6-7 – An angel proclaims the “everlasting gospel” to all who dwell on the earth, calling them to fear God and glorify Him.
  • Revelation 22:17 – “Whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”

During this period, God raises up 144,000 witnesses (Revelation 7:4-8) to proclaim His message clearly and powerfully to every nation. Ignorance will no longer be a shield; everyone will have a real, unmistakable chance to respond.

Did you know this? Did you know that this was the mission of the 144,000: to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to all of those who remain on the earth during the 7-year Tribulation Period? Can you see just how dynamic this period of time will be? The battle between Good and Evil will enter its final push with both God and satan trying to obtain the souls of all who are on the earth.

Is this not yet another validator that God loves all of His children, and has a desire for all to learn of Him in such an important period of time? Remember, during these 7-years, satan is trying to get as many followers as he can to take with him into eternity. On the other hand, God is not ready to relinquish anyone, simply because they have not been taught of Him, and His gospel.

Accountability and Choice

While God’s mercy is vast, Scripture makes clear that those who reject Him when the truth is unmistakably presented will face judgment:

  • Revelation 20:12-13 – All are judged according to their response to God’s truth.

The Tribulation is both a time of terrifying judgment for the rebellious and an unprecedented opportunity for salvation for the lost.

A Hopeful Perspective

Whether now or during the Tribulation, the KJV assures us that God’s justice and mercy go hand in hand. He does not overlook the hearts of the unevangelized today, and He will make His truth unmistakably known in the future.

This is a call to faith, hope, and action. For those who already know Jesus, it’s a reminder to share His message faithfully. For those wondering about the fate of the lost, it’s a reminder to trust in God’s perfect judgment and boundless mercy. Even in a world darkened by sin, His light will shine, and no heart is beyond His reach.

May I leave you with a parting thought. It is FAR MORE BENEFICIAL to come to know, and dedicate your life in following Jesus Christ RIGHT NOW, than it would be to enter into the Tribulation Period.

We are ending the period of time known as the “Church Age.” This began at Pentecost, around AD 30 or 33, when the Holy Spirit was poured out on the apostles (Acts 2:1–4), empowering them to spread the gospel.

During this period of time, many people were given the chance to learn of Jesus Christ and His gospel. They have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and have been Born Again, as He has asked them to become.

The Church Age concludes when Christ raptures His Church (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17), and God’s direct judgment begins in the Tribulation period. Only those who have come to know Christ and accepted Him and His Gospel will be included in the Rapture.

Being raptured is to be Rescued from the challenges that the 7-year Tribulation period will bring. Do not miss the Rapture!!!!!! Become “Born Again” today, for this is the only way that you will be rescued from what is to come.

But for those of us who have loved ones who have not yet accepted the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it is important to know that they will at least have one more opportunity to accept or reject it during the 7-year Tribulation Period. I like to explain it this way, “You can either learn the easy way, or the HARD way.”

Waiting until a person enters the Tribulation period is certainly the Hard way. God will be pouring out His wrath, getting the full attention of everyone. They will see His power and command for a response. This will no longer be a decision which they can ignore, as their very eternal existence will be at stake. Please, all who are reading this, consider getting to know Jesus Christ right now…today…right this minute!!!! There is nothing more important in your life right now than this!

Now for those of you who have already made this commitment, your time upon earth is coming to a refreshing end. In a matter of weeks, or months, we will all be reunited with Jesus Christ and will begin the celebration of the “Wedding Feast,” right after being caught up to be with Jesus Christ in the Rapture of the Church.
