The Prophecy of a One World Religion in the Last Days – Will your Church Be a Part of This Deception? Don’t Dismiss this Possibility so Quickly

(These writings are entirely my own opinion, obtained through independent study and prayerful research. I do not speak on behalf of any church or church representative.)

The Bible warns that in the last days, many religious systems will unite under deception, turning people away from Christ.

  • Revelation 17:1–5 (KJV):
Describes “the great whore” sitting upon many waters, with whom “the kings of the earth have committed fornication.”
This symbolizes a powerful, corrupt religious system that influences nations and kings — a picture many interpret as a worldwide religious union.
  • Revelation 13:8 (KJV):
“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
This points to a global system of false worship, led by the Antichrist and the false prophet.
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:3–4 (KJV):
Warns of a coming “falling away” and the man of sin who “opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God.”
This suggests that religion will merge into one system that worships man instead of God.

So, we know that a new “Religion” will emerge under the control of the antichrist and false prophet. But what is their purpose? What do they have planned to do with this new entity?

The “one new world religion” is prophesied in the KJV context as a tool of deception, control, and spiritual compromise in the end times. Its purpose is to unite humanity under false teachings and oppose God’s truth, setting the stage for the rise of the Antichrist and the final judgment.

And what will be required from people to enter into this new church?

Revelation 13:16–17 (KJV):

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

This tells us that receiving a mark of allegiance—especially if tied to participation in commerce or society—is part of the prophecy.

The KJV warns that believers must refuse allegiance to the beast:

  • Revelation 14:9–10 (KJV):

“If any man worships the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God…”

In other words, even a monetary or symbolic requirement for entry could be a test of faith.

But why would my church participate in such an evil process? My church has been nothing but Christ-Centered, and worshiping the Savior, not evil. This is a very respected and logical point of view that most people have. Let’s continue to have things play out in order for us to better understand this coming “Deception.”

Have you ever considered that satan has a strategy to reach the very elect of God by infiltrating churches, in hopes to persuade leaders through the enticing of worldly treasures now, with a promise to help him in bringing souls to him during the end times? A church does not have to be “Satanic,” on the outside, but what if some of the leaders have made this sort of “Deal with the Devil?”

Satan is deceptive. He plans to bring as many people as possible down with him in the end times. That is what this current battle is all about…Good vs Evil. He has already taken out many through the temptations of the flesh, but he is not finished. He wants the Very Elect as well. We have bee told this in scripture:

Matthew 24:24 (KJV):
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

We may not be open to follow some of the deceptions directly from satan himself, but what if your church leaders were part of this deception? What if they were the ones that directed us to join this new religion? Would our guard be down because of the trust that we have for these men?

I personally have family members who have pledged that they will follow the leader of their church REGARDLESS of their own personal revelation from God. So, I would definitely conclude “YES,” this strategy is VERY POSSIBLE, and would be incredibly effective in his desire to get to the very elect.

So, how would this scenario play out?

Today, we see movements toward religious unity:

  • Interfaith gatherings where leaders of different religions pray together, often minimizing or ignoring the exclusivity of Jesus Christ.
  • Global calls for “one religion of peace” to unite humanity.
  • Some churches setting aside biblical doctrine to align with cultural or political unity efforts.

I went to a church website and typed in the search “interfaith efforts of the church.” The search results produced over 100 articles detailing how the church is setting the stage for this to possibly happen. They have begun by reaching out over church lines to come together in humanitarian aid, which seems very noble and righteous.

I mention this as a cautionary example, and not solid evidence that this will be their intent.

But something solid for me in demonstrating that the church might very likely be joining a World Religion, is the financial empire that the church has just built. Hundreds of Billions of dollars in their stock portfolio, real-estate assets, building assets, and the riches of this world, all at risk. Why would a church acquire such mortal assets only to know that they will all be gone in a matter of just a few short years?

Let’s review this scripture again:

Revelation 13:16-17

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

In plain terms: according to the prophecy, during the end times, a one-world system will arise in which economic participation—buying or selling—will be restricted to those who accept the “mark of the beast.” This mark is symbolic of allegiance to the Antichrist and his system. Those who refuse the mark will be excluded from commerce and face severe persecution.

In addition, churches will forfeit all of their financial assets, and will be turning them over to the beast. The churches will not be able to continue functioning as they are doing right now, for they will lose all of what they have.

Yet there is one way for the church to keep all of their assets. It’s simple… All they have to do is to take the mark of the beast. But, why would my church do such a terrible thing? I believe the better question is “Why would my church recently acquire such a vast sum of money, if they knew that they would be turning it over to the antichrist to promote his church?”

Perhaps a defensive stance answer that you are considering would be that God would intervein, and protect the church. Yet, God has no need for money, nor any other financial asset. I’m certain if this were the case, He would have told the leaders of the church to have spent all of this money prior to the end times, in helping the poor and the needy. Church leaders seeking tremendous financial wealth does not fit into a spiritual narrative that supports God in the last days. It does however support “Mortal Power,” or an intent to do something that none of us would expect.

The complexity of this situation can confidently be managed by you doing these things:

Know that a great deception is coming to the earth in these last days. Know that it will be so great, it could even deceive the very elect.

Know that the antichrist and false prophet will push people into joining a New Financial System as well as a One World Church.

Know that this will involve you taking the Mark of the Beast.

BE STRONG ENOUGH to know that your current church may participate in influencing you to join this church and taking the mark.

Include God in your spiritual decisions, rather than a man. If a leader tells you to do something that appears to feel wrong, take that same direction to God. He will give you your own personal revelation. Follow God’s revelation that He has given to you and not the leader. You are NOT showing blind faith and allegiance by following a leader even though God has told you something different. This is simply being gullible, and you will receive spiritual consequences that are awful by doing so.

Through my studies, I am very aware of the deception that is to come. I am also sadly aware that many righteous people will be caught up in this deception, and some might even loose their very souls to satan.

I invite you to take ownership of your spiritual journey. Follow the teachings of Jesus Christ that are listed in the New Testament. Take back the control that you have given away to church leaders, for they May Not have your best interest in mind. At the very least do not expect THEM to direct you through these end times, as they are clearly not teaching any of the things that are to come. Humm!??!

My prayer is that you will see through deception, and will follow the plan that God has outlined for us to do in getting through the end times. Do you know what that plan is? If not, I suggest you study for yourself to find out.
