When people talk about the end times, it can feel overwhelming. The scriptures are often hard to understand, and many are discouraged by their complexity.
After two full years of studying the events of the Last Days, I want to offer you a clear explanation of what the Bible says is going to happen. Are you ready?
Let’s begin.
The Kickoff Event: The 7-Year Peace Agreement
We’re watching for a major event that will officially launch the final 7 years of life as we know it:
A peace agreement with Israel and neighboring nations.
Daniel 9:27 (KJV)
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease…”
Key Points:
- “He” = The Antichrist – A future global leader.
- “One week” = 7 years (prophetically).
The Antichrist will either sign or orchestrate this peace deal. He’ll appear as a savior—charismatic, wise, and seemingly full of answers. But he will deceive many.
How to Recognize the Prophetic Peace Agreement:
- It will be a 7-year agreement.
- It will allow the Jewish temple to be rebuilt on the Temple Mount (where the Dome of the Rock stands today), enabling the return of animal sacrifices.
The Antichrist’s Global System
Once this deal is signed, the Antichrist and the False Prophet will establish a worldwide system of deception and control:
1. One-World Government
- Revelation 13:7-8 – Power over all nations.
- Daniel 7:23-25 – A kingdom that devours the earth and wears out the saints.
2. One-World Religion
- Revelation 13:11-12 – The False Prophet promotes worship of the Beast (Antichrist).
- Revelation 13:13-14 – Performs miracles to deceive the world.
3. The Image of the Beast
- Revelation 13:15 – An idol is created. All must worship it or be killed.
4. The Mark of the Beast – Economic Control
- Revelation 13:16-17 – No one can buy or sell without the mark.
- Revelation 14:9-10 – Those who take the mark will face God’s wrath.
The mark will be fully mandated at the midpoint of the 7 years (after 3.5 years).
The First Half of the Tribulation (3.5 Years)
The beginning of the 7 years will seem peaceful, but it’s a false peace.
The Antichrist and False Prophet will perform miraculous signs to gain trust and deceive the world.
Scriptures:
- 2 Thessalonians 2:9 – “…with all power and signs and lying wonders.”
- Matthew 24:24 – False Christs and prophets will deceive, if possible, even the elect.
The 144,000 and the Two Witnesses
The 144,000 (Revelation 7 and 14):
- 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel.
- Sealed and protected by God.
- Evangelists preaching the Gospel worldwide during the first 3.5 years.
The Two Witnesses (Revelation 11:3–13):
- Preach in Jerusalem for 1,260 days (3.5 years).
- Call the Jewish people to repentance.
- Clothed in sackcloth, symbolizing mourning and warning.
The Seals: God’s Judgments Begin
As the 7-year Tribulation begins, seven seals are opened in order:

| 2nd | Red Horse | War | Peace removed |
| 3rd | Black Horse | Famine | Economic collapse |
| 4th | Pale Horse | Death | 1/4 of earth perishes |
| 5th | Cry of Martyrs | Souls under altar | Persecution of believers |
| 6th | Earthquake | Cosmic signs | Global terror |
| 7th | Silence in Heaven | Pause | Prelude to Trumpet Judgments |
The Rapture: Good News at Midpoint!
Many believe, as I do through study and prayer, that the Rapture will occur at the midpoint (around 3.5 years in). The rapture is when Christ gathers His followers up to meet Him in the air, and to be with Him forever.
1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 (KJV)
“…the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up… to meet the Lord in the air…”
This is how Christ will remove His Church before God’s wrath intensifies. The wrath is aimed at Satan and his followers—those who’ve taken the mark of the beast.
The Antichrist’s Resurrection – The Dragon Emerges
Revelation 13:3-4
“…his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast… and they worshipped the dragon…”
- The Antichrist will appear to die and resurrect, mimicking Jesus.
- At this point, Satan fully empowers or possibly possesses him.
- He enters the temple and declares himself as God—The Abomination of Desolation (Daniel 9:27).
The Second Half: The Great Tribulation and God’s Wrath
Once the Antichrist declares himself god, he makes the Mark of the Beast mandatory and persecutes all who refuse.
Then comes God’s wrath—the Seven Bowls (Revelation 16):
| Bowl | Judgment | Effect |
| 1st | Painful Sores | On those with the mark |
| 2nd | Sea to Blood | All sea life dies |
| 3rd | Rivers to Blood | Drinking water ruined |
| 4th | Scorching Sun | Intense heat |
| 5th | Darkness | Beast’s kingdom in agony |
| 6th | Euphrates Dried | Armies gather for Armageddon |
| 7th | Massive Earthquake | Global destruction |
The Return of Jesus – The Second Coming
At the end of the 7 years, Jesus returns as King.
Revelation 19–20:
- Jesus defeats the Antichrist and False Prophet.
- Battle of Armageddon ends swiftly.
- Satan is bound for 1,000 years.
The Earth is Changed Forever
Revelation 16:18-20
“…every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.”
- Massive earthquake reshapes the planet.
- Cities fall.
- Earth is prepared for restoration.
The New Heaven and New Earth
After Christ’s 1,000-year reign:
2 Peter 3:10 (KJV)
“…the elements shall melt with fervent heat…”
Revelation 21:1 (KJV)
“…a new heaven and a new earth: for the first… were passed away…”
- Sin, death, and sorrow are gone.
- God lives with His people in peace forever.
During Christ’s Reign: Restoration and Healing
Isaiah 11:6-9
“…the wolf also shall dwell with the lamb… for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord…”
- Nature is healed.
- Peace reigns on earth.
Whew—we made it through the events! I hope that this has been informative. It is also my hope that you see the positive things relating to the end times. Just as God parted the Red Sea for the Israelites so that they could escape danger and death, so too will He save us through the Rapture that He has planned for our rescue.
