People Have Always Thought They Were Living in The Last Days… Well, They Certainly Didn’t Know THIS!!

The creation of the Earth in the biblical account in Genesis 1 is typically described as a seven-day process, with each “day” being a distinct period of creation. The idea of a literal seven-day creation comes from the text, which states:

  • Day 1: God created light, separating it from darkness.
  • Day 2: God created the sky and separated the waters.
  • Day 3: God gathered the waters to reveal dry land and created vegetation.
  • Day 4: God created the sun, moon, and stars to govern day and night.
  • Day 5: God created creatures of the sea and birds of the air.
  • Day 6: God created animals on the land and humanity (Adam and Eve).
  • Day 7: God rested from His work.

However, many interpretations, particularly those from a more scientific or metaphorical perspective, suggest that these “days” may not be literal 24-hour periods but rather symbolic or represent long epochs of time. Some believe that the seven days could represent longer periods, such as 7,000 years, reflecting the idea that God created the Earth in stages over vast periods of time, which aligns with the geological understanding of the Earth’s history.

In short, the Bible says creation took seven days, but some interpret those days symbolically, possibly extending to longer periods like 7,000 years, especially when considering scientific views of Earth’s age.

This period of time, 7 days, or 7000 years, is symbolic to God. The number 7 holds significant symbolic meaning in the Bible and is often associated with completeness, perfection, and divine fulfillment.

And, so in lies the logic of the time that mankind would spend upon the earth: 7 days, or 7000 years.

The idea that we are in or near the 6,000th year comes from a biblical interpretation known as the 7,000-year plan of God. This theory suggests that human history follows a 6,000-year period of work, followed by a 1,000-year Sabbath rest, aligning with the Millennial Reign of Christ (Revelation 20:1-6).

  • 2 Peter 3:8 (KJV)“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

Are We in the 6,000th Year?

These verses suggest that each “day” in Genesis could represent 1,000 years, meaning:

  • 4,000 years from Adam to Jesus (Old Testament period).
  • 2,000 years from Jesus to today (Church Age). This is the 6,000th year upon the earth.
  • 1,000-year reign of Christ still to come (Millennium).

Estimated Biblical Timeline

Scholars and theologians using biblical genealogies (like those in Genesis 5 & 11) estimate:

If biblical chronology is correct, we are at the very end of the 6,000 years.

  • The key transition is Jesus’ resurrection, not His birth. His resurrection marked the beginning of the Church Age (Age of Grace), fulfilling the Old Covenant and ushering in the last 2,000 years before His return.

Timeline

Adam        Jesus Death        Beginning of 7-yr Tribulation    Second Coming       Millennium

  4000BC      *33AD          2025-2026           2032-2033       1000 yrs

*This completes the 4000-year period from the birth of Adam through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ death around 30-33 AD aligns with the start of the final 2,000 years.

So, in applying the final 2000 years from the death of Jesus Christ, this gives us the  end time to occur in 2032-2033. This will be followed by the 1000 year of the millennium period. This completes the 7,000-year period of time that has been foretold as the period of time for the earth.

So, our ancestors who stated that they were in the end times were not aware of the 7-day or 7000-year period of time for the earth. We have this formula to now give us the estimated return time of Jesus Christ.

So, what about this scripture?

Matthew 24:36

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

Have you ever looked deeply into this scripture? It says that no man knows the date or time, however, it says nothing about the year, or general time period. Interesting right?

Some say that we can know the exact year of His return as soon as the 7-year peace treaty is signed with Israel and the Middle East.

Daniel 9:27 (KJV): “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

In this context, the “one week” refers to seven years, as each “week” represents seven years. The passage is often interpreted in eschatology (study of end times) as describing a peace agreement that the Antichrist will establish with Israel for seven years. However, halfway through this period (three and a half years), the Antichrist will break the agreement, causing sacrifices to cease and ushering in a period of great tribulation.

So, keep a heads-up, and watch for this peace agreement to be signed. You can then add 7 years to the date when this agreement is signed, and that will give you the time that Jesus Christ will return for His second coming.

Most importantly, you too can know the truthfulness of this article as you approach God with these details. He will confirm the truthfulness as you study and pray for His guidance.

There is also peace in knowing that God will watch over His people in the last days. Fear not, and share His message with others who are lost. They are the ones that need our help right now. God Bless!!
